Hey look, I respect your opinion. The world needs it's pessimists. I however choose not to see it that way. And that's not the same as wear rose-tinted glasses. The deal Walsh has made are diametrically opposite to the type of deals we were making before he showed up. Solid, hardworking players or young explosive talent instead of flashy tweeners and heavy centers. Sure if you want you can weep and moan and convince yourself that it will all go to hell in a handbasket when Amare goes blind, AR breaks his arm, Gallo stiffens up, KA breaks his ankle and Turiaf ends up in the OR again but I choose to see this team as potentially very good. It's easy to complain about every little thing and it's your right to do so. But I have to say oohah that you're really scraping the bottom of the barrel to complain about the position were in right now. A few years ago our cap was over 100 mill and a good off season for us was Zach Randolph. We just picked up 3 cheap young talented players and a 6 time all-star. Your starting to run out of things to moan about methinks. Bizatching about losing a first rounder and Jordan Hill is just bizatching for bizatchings sake.
Sorry dude I am not a pessimist.Try a realist. I just prefer to live in reality. Spin it any way you want. The Knicks sucked for 2 years and moved all of their assets. They lost, we lost. Anthony Randolph and Stoudemire are not going to make the Knicks contenders in the conference let alone the NBA.
So no, I am not scraping the bottom of the barrel. I am calling it like it is. If we want to use metaphors you are playing the fiddle while Rome is burning.
If you think this is a good team I think you need to take a look at the rosters and assets/prospects of the other teams in the conference, then get back to me.

I would argue with you description of yourself and would respectfully suggest you check your real motives because you just sound angry. I reckon if LeBron would have signed here you would have still found something to complain about. Moving on.
This thread is about the Tmac trade. You're saying Amare and AR doesn't make us a good team and I wont argue with you as we haven't seen how it works out. But in terms of the Tmac trade, I know I'd prefer to have AR, Turiaf and KA over Hill and a first rounder. Those assets plus JJ would never have gotten us what we got for pure capspace because capspace is more valuable around the league. That's why it was a good trade, whether we got LeBron or not. We could only have signed and traded Lee if we had 2 max spots otherwise we would have had to renounce his rights for Amare.
Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream things that never were and ask why not?
