very happy right now. happier than i thought i'd be.

if we got lebron it would feel cheap. this is better.

I have to say I agree with this. I know I would get over that feeling but I was more excited about this move and Randolph. I wanted Lebron bad but I never felt quite right about the plan or getting him.

fellows, are you trying to rationalize the disappointment? if lbj said ny, in no way would i feel it was cheap. hes a FA, fair game to sign.

Donnie has totally revamped the front court:

Amare, Anthony Randolph, Gallo, Turiaf, Jerome Jordan

Now we have to focus on the back court, while keeping flexibility.

I say no to the artist formerly known as mike miller - let him clog miami's cap. give me ray felton and anthony morrow.

i hate his attitude. i've honestly been hesitant about it for a while. i thought it would be like ARod joining the Yankees - which killed my love for the yanks.

i'd rather build from within and have the experience of watching them grow and learn to win.

if we got lebron, i'd be happy we were a title contender... but ambivalent about the player himself.

i'm sure there are plenty of lebron threads if you want to discuss him.

we just got a blue chip prospect for an unrestricted free agent. this is better than what toronto got for bosh. this is far better than what we gave up for tmac.

AR is a stud. i coveted him in the draft in 08. maybe that's why i'm thrilled.

Lee will put up better numbers than Amare the next 6 years.

At least we'll get something out of it.

Let me say- I do think Randolph has a long way to go. Very erratic. Shot selection is an issue. Love the length/athleticism. Could collect a lot of boards and blocks with the pace we play. I want to play him at center up front with Amare. Chandler/Amare/Randolph is what I'd like to see in a high volume, high pace offense.

New York Knicks forward David Lee got some good news, once LeBron James announced his intention to join the Miami Heat.

Lee's agent, Mark Bartelstein, told ESPN.com that Lee had agreed to a sign-and-trade worth $80 million dollars over six years with the Golden State Warriors.

Lee
The deal will send Lee to the Warriors for Anthony Randolph, Ronny Turiaf and Kelenna Azubuike among others.

Knicks GM Donnie Walsh has coveted Randolph for years and feels he'd give the team another long, athletic forward to pair with Amare Stoudemire and Danilo Gallinari in the frontcourt.

A number of other teams including the Raptors, Suns, Timberwolves and Nets had made pitches to Lee in the past several days.

Chad Ford covers the NBA for ESPN The Magazine.

This is how you build a great team

acquire a mutlitude of skilled diversified frontcourt players who play end to end check

have two great players who can score 20 points and help lead amare and gallo check

haev high quality wing and 2G players who are diversified and skilled Chandler azubike Fields walker check

If we end up getting Miller and Livingston and using our depth all year--we will win 50-55 games and be a big time player in the playoffs in year 1--capable of ECF

Don't sleep on Azubuike. Look at the year he had before his injuries. 14 ppg, 45% 3's, 5 rebounds per. Good size at SG. He's a quality player and another shooter in the lineup.

Hmmm David Lee wanted that money I guess.

Love to that we get Randolph though. Wish we had a PG to distribute to these guys.

Forgot to mention that I see Gallo almost as an SG in that lineup. I think Chandler is more effective close to the basket

i don't mind signing miller - if he has anything left in the tank.

but i'd really rather get Felton to run the point. i think he'd blossom here. believe he's younger than livingston...

LeBron is over. Gone and good riddance. On to the next....

What I'm saying is I'll check out this trade in the AM with a clear mind and read up on what others have to say about it before judging anything. Probably the best course of action.
