They even appeared to take subtle shots at James' decision not to play in New York. When Garden Chairman James Dolan spoke about Stoudemire's signing, he said: "It takes courage to play where the lights shine the brightest."

SAS was adament on saying that people around the nba and basketball in general still greatly respect isiah.

Exactly...Knick fans may despise Isiah, but he still garners lots of respect from the players around the league. He was the child hood idol to alot of these players. Dolan gets knocked for a lot of things but No way can you knock him for tyring to land us the best player in the league. Dolan was proactive and pulled out all stops. Kudos to him.

Isiah has a lot of charisma and he has been very successful. Dolan was loyal to a fault to him.

LOL.

If that really happens, I quit as a Knick fan. And nobody can blame me at that point.

Ya. I thought I would but I couldn't. I will never quit. But Isiah? C'mon. Tell me you will be a diehard fan if Isiah comes back again. I can't see many of us having that same passion with Isiah here for a 2nd time.

I'm okay with Isiah being involved. I just never want him as a GM or coach again. I would not mind him being part of the Knicks organization, as long as there are no more scandals.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I'm not mad at Dolan desperate times call for desperate measures they must have gotten word he was going to Miami and made a last ditch effort and sent Isiah , they had nothing to lose.

And people should not discount loyalty. After all he has gone through with the Knicks some owners might have just told him he would get his money but just get lost and don't come around.

Isiah did some scouting for the team, and has popped up every now and then, and does not seem to be a total outcast with the team.

An outside observer has to see this as a good thing, IMO.

Oh crap. This is the worst news as of yet. This is like the kiss of death. Damn it Zeke, must you have your nose in this too? I mean, no way this thing is over b4 Zeke pops up "I am RICK JAMES", BIATCH"
He needed to get in on this, if James comes- he was the one to tilt the scales. If Not - noone will think of him anyway. Noone but me ! Ahh, Zeke reminds me of this joke here:

An apple eating contest is about to start. There are 3 competitors a Greek, a Frenchman and a Ukranian. So the press asks the Greek, "How many apples are you planning on eating?" He answers: "Three bushels". Then they ask the Frenchman how many he is gonna eat . The Frenchman answers "Three bushels and one". When they ask the Ukranian same question there is a long, dramatic pause, after which he replies "I'll eat half a ton of apples" Everyone is confused with this answer, and they ask him how is he planning on eating 500 kilograms of apples. The Ukranian replies : "Those apples that I cannot eat I'll just simply take a bite out of"

To me its sad. You can't ask a guy you fired to recruit the biggest FA in NBA history. His camp probably just viewed it as a joke.
