But hey hey, if LBJ wanted to go to Chicago, he could have gone there with Bosh who might have prefered going to Chicago with LeBron rather than going to Miami with Wade... meaning that LJB DID NOT WANT TO GO TO CHICAGO in the first place...

If Miami and Chicago are out of it, and LBJ making a one-hour show to announce his big time decision... oh oh oh !!!

Same here, Wade will always have an edge. LeBron wants to be the face of the franchise.

I agree with the comments above. I did not think we had much of a chance at first, but with Amare on board and Bosh and Wade teaming up, our talent level is equal to New Jersey's and Chicago's at this point and it exceeds the talent level in Clevland. With all things being equal, I think New York has to be the pick. Now if Walsh can resign Barron and sign Luke Ridour or Jason Williams, this team should be primed for a playoff run and should make it to the second round.

Well the speculation is fun - but it is just speculation at this point.

I think Miami is still in it though. However, I do find it interesting that his 1 hour special is going to be from Ohio - usually when you leave you don't talk about it for an hour.

If you leave and don't want others to know, would you do it in the city where you were going ??? "ESPN live from Chicago for the 1-hour LBJ special..." ???

That was to be expected. Can Miami still sign LeBron? They have room for 3 max contracts? I thought they were in the same boat as us with not being able to re-sign Lee if we added 2 max deals.

Anyway, I don't see LeBron signing there to be Wade's sidekick. Do you really think someone with the ego to demand a special on ESPN to announce his decision, will come play for Wade's team? A team that Wade has already won a championship for? Regardless of how many championships they would win, Wade would always be one up on him.

As for going back to Cleveland, why would he do that when they wouldn't be able to put another star player with him? That team has hit it's ceiling as a 55 win regular season team that will win a round or two in the playoffs. And it'll only get more difficult as other teams improve.

I think it's between the Knicks and Chicago with the Knicks favored. In Chicago, it would still be Jordan's town and I don't think he fits well with Rose (they're both ball handlers who need the ball to make things happen) and Noah (more of an energy guy than a skilled scoring forward who can take pressure off LeBron). In New York, he'd be the unquestioned King of the biggest and greatest City on earth. Anything he'd do here would be magnified 1000 times. He has another star player in Amare and a chance at another next year (they should tell LeBron they'll renounce Gallinari and whoever else to get the cap room to sign Melo to a max deal). It's his best hope to take on Wade and Bosh for the next 5 years.

If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

I'm not sure about our talent level being even with Chicago's. We won 29 games last year and they won 41. Do you really think replacing Lee with Amare would have made a +12 win difference? I find that hard to believe. Also, they already have a big man who can anchor the defense and a PG who can run the offense (or who has high trade value if Lebron doesn't want to team up with him). Amare has plenty of health concerns and questionable motivation at times. If I were Lebron, I'd rather play with Chicago. I hope I'm wrong about all this though!

He could have gone for a neutral site, I think it will just rub salt in the wounds of Cleveland if he does it from there.

Neutral site would have meant he was leaving... doing it from his home makes the most sense of it all.

I think replacing Lee with Amare and replacing Duhon with Douglas will make a +12 difference. Plus, with Bill Walker losing weight and Gallo with another year under his belt, I think we have a 40 win team. It is certainly more talented than the 60+ team Lebron had last year. Plus, Rose is only a so-so outside shooter who needs the ball in his hands. I don't think Rose and Lebron are going to complement each other as well as some people think. I think a PG like Douglas, who does not need the ball in his hands, might be better suited to Lebron's skills.

After reading this news, the probability that Lebron will come to the NYK has increased... We will find out tomorrow night, though.

I still don't believe that he wouldn't need a big prime time production to announce that he's staying in Cleveland.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

If they dump Beasley (and something else), they can get three. It's unlikely though because it will be those three and a slew of NBDLers
