Not too much. Just work, school, and waiting for the ball to drop on the LeBron sweepstakes. How's life?

I suggest people view the thread in question to draw their own conclusions. Like TMS said Seb is no phony. You won't catch him posting he is out of here only to show up a few hours later like no declaration was made. Some do this on a weekly basis and sometimes under different screen names.
im blaming playa's thread more than anything. listen i understand that **** has to be talked about, but losing a poster like seb in a BASKETBALL forum because of some racial discussion isn't worth it to me.
***BIPPITY STYLE DECLARATION***
i am not saying race should not be talked about, but maybe in a basketball forum it isn't the proper setting. i see too many posters getting pissed at each other, martin/andrew, playa, whoever because of these things. i don't think it's worth losing anyone over that. there are too many good people on this site for that to happen.
***BIPPITY STYLE DECLARATION #2***
in no way am i blaming playa, he wanted to talk about it and others chose to engage, it's not his fault. i mentioned his name only because he's the one who created the thread which inturn sparked controversy. whether people over-reacted or not isn't for me to decide, i'm just saying.
ok, i've said my piece on this. either way, i hope seb comes back real soon. he's a good dude.
Well, here's my take on that. I don't really want to get into the race discussion here anymore and I don't think it has proven a fruitful discussion on these boards. I think there's two amenable ways to go: 1) People talk about race, but try to be more considerate about how other people who have different backgrounds might feel (e.g.: No finger pointing, insults, stereotypes, etc..) or 2) We agree to disagree and not talk about race anymore. Personally, I prefer #2, purely based on a very poor history on these forums. If people choose #1, that's fine, but if it's going to be done with blatant disrespect, people are going to call it out, and these types of things will keep occurring.
I also agree with nyk that this is not the proper setting; I don't think people come here to talk about race and it catches people off-guard when there's a thread started with unjustified generalizations.
As for Seb, I hope he returns. Again, under the same conditions I mentioned earlier.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
