LMAO.

But he was right. All the respect they are due. Unfortunately for the Nets, that is none.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

someone asked the Nets how their own presentation had gone and they reported that it was "Tremendous". This is news?

eVil - were on the same page in bleeding orange and blue and that is a beautiful thing

The Russian seems more smarmy than Dolan and that is no small feat

Lebron avoiding the opportunity to play Broadway is a punk move. If he chooses New Jersey/Brooklyn he will be cast as "the guy who played it safe"

My thoughts exactly, Earl please retract the first part of your statement.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Loweyecue - per your recommendation, the first part if my statement has been retracted retroactively

It never happened

We ARE the Noo York freakin Knicks!

The home of free agents who are not afraid to face the bright lights, embrace the roar of the crowd mixed with the trains rumbling in the basement and eat pretzels off the street. Men who are not afraid to be booed and respond by playing tougher and who don't flinch with hundreds of celebrities and regular Joes who demand excellence on a nightly basis.

Men who WANT to be in New York for more than money because money doesn't buy the things that generate 2 minute standing ovations or your jersey in the rafters. Men who understand that the Garden can lift mere mortals to bust four point plays at the buzzer or whose taunts can make you wish you were never born

Real men

real

Why is that?

I meant anyone else besides the Knicks. It would be amazing to see Lebron play on TV everyday or have the chance to see him play in person 41 games a year.

I kinda agree. I would rather have LeBron on the Nets than the Bulls, Cavs or Heat. I think it would bring excitement to the area and would certainly give the Knicks more incentive to improve if we struck out this offseason, but the Nets hit a home run.

I third this. Plus ive never harbored a deep resentment to the Nets, and am from Brooklyn. Had they had a team there when i was a kid i probably would have been a fan of theirs.

The Knicks came away feeling good about their presentation to LeBron James on Thursday.

"I thought it went great," one Knicks' official told the New York Daily News. "Great."

Owner James Dolan attended the meeting and his willingness to pay the league's luxury tax, and track record of doing so, is certainly an asset in the chase to bring James to New York.

The owner is not going to be pleased if the team is unable to secure the top prize of this summer's free-agent class.

"Jim is the wild card," one league official said. "If LeBron doesn't come, Jim is not going to be happy. He's not going to be thinking about next year. He's going to be upset. Very upset."

Via New York Daily News

I feel a lot better now that one of our guys used a word like tremendous.

Which is the "stronger" expression characterizing a meeting- "tremendous," or "great." Almost worthy of its own thread.

...And did our official say "front runner great?"

PS: A certain well known UK poster also posted a very similar thread on RealGM today about 2.5 hours ago.

No man is happy without a delusion of some kind. Delusions are as necessary to our happiness as realities- C.N. Bovee
