![]() From Wojo:The Knicks are hoping Amar'e Stoudemire travels to New York over the weekend for a meeting, but a source says he is unlikely to make it there until Monday.
Stoudemire played for Mike D'Antoni when both were in Phoenix. Read more: http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/67652/20100701/knicks_hope_amare_will_travel_to_new_york_for_weekend_meeting/#ixzz0xVpYTgdz I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18

Not that we need to believe anything, but besides this, most amare to new york reports have been favorable. I think we need to overpay Amare to get him here. He's still a top big man and with the exception of his eye has been durable the last few years. If we can find a good point or sign lebron, he's a great option. He might even be a better option with Lebron than bosh would be. I think amare has been somewhat underrated in this whole process. He was part of a western conference finals team. Yes he had Nash but he still proved he's a superstar. |

![]() Amare was a total stud last year. He carried the Suns 2nd half of the year when everyone thought they were old and done and too small.
I would take him over Bosh Mon-Sun and twice on Friday. No brainer. Bosh has more finess but Amare asserts his will on the game. Anyone that says he's not a max player didnt watch him last year, plain and simple "winning is more fun... then fun is fun" -Thibs

If we sign him we are in decent shape. If JJ and LBJ resign or sign elsewhere, we should turn our attention to frontloading a Rudy Gay contract, then look to deal for Parker, Collison, Felton (S&T), or someone of that nature. |

![]() If Lebron doesnt come I HOPE we dont give JJ huge money. I would LOVE to sign Mike Miller and bring Lee back. We would have the money for that.
PG Douglas 6'3 Damn good squad.. a pair of all stars in the frontcourt surrounded but shooters and ball handlers with an offensive guru coach. "winning is more fun... then fun is fun" -Thibs

We would have the money for that. and you set yourself up well moving into the future with curry coming off the books next year. there's no reason to waste the money just for the sake of it, i'd much rather prefer walsh be smart, make smart moves, and when there is a moment to strike and use the leverage created by having cap space and good, valuable contracts where u haven't overpaid, then you make your move. #Knickstaps

I would not pair lee and Amare together unless lee truely has develope a three point shot, to many times in mikes system the PF/C is left wide open beyond the arc. ES

Would definitely be content with that off-season. It's not the coup that everyone is hoping for but it's a pretty damn good step in the right direction. ![]() I'll probably get nailed but whatever. The more I think of this the more I get swayed that it might be a better idea to go a different route than Lebron. To me he doesn't have that killer instinct and his complimentary pieces we are talking about don't either.
This is probably what I would do. Trade Curry and Gallo for Carmelo (16 mil) Emeka Walker and a couple smart Vet min. Signings. ~You can't run from who you are.~

This would be a great start and i would be very happy with this. Another possibility could be signing Amare then trading Lee for Parker. We could pick up a cheap big man or overpay a big for one year and still preserve plenty of cap space and flexibility C Cheap big This could be best case scenario outside of getting lebron. |

Amare Stoudemire is a beast and would be the 2nd or 3rd best big in the entire East. |
