there are about 5-6 names in this FA class that are better players than David Lee... until we find out where all 5-6 of those names are signing, you hold onto your cap space & ride out the process... u don't jump at the first chance to re-sign David Lee, who likely won't be signing anywhere until after those top guys sign someplace anyway, before you explore all the other top options.

i agree w/on the Rautins pick & not being more proactive to get Whiteside, but what's that got to do with this topic?

Briggs, you like DLee better than Amar'e? Just asking.

I don't mind keeping DLee, but then I think you need to bring in Tyson Chandler to watch his back.

This is where having D'Antoni involved in building any foundation makes things tough.

I have no idea what is going on but if the Bulls are giving up a pick and Hinrich for nothing they know something. I could see them getting LBJ or Johnson and Bosh.

Give the man some court time then hit them with...likely you said the same thing about Douglas in July of last year.

My gripe with them is the frontcourt. Knicks even with Bosh and 'Bron would be too small and don't think they won't know it. Unless Barron and Bender find an Ironman suit and a go-back machine.

I can imagine a Knicks frontcourt of Bosh, Barron, Jordan and perhaps OK4 in a curry trade. Decent and with depth.

If you put Bosh on this team and took off Lee and did nothing else this team, still would win 30 games. I can see the Knicks getting one max but I dont see how they will get twio

I am still pretty convinced of Lebron and Bosh coming to NY. I give no respect to the ESPN reports. I think they are trying to influence this offseason. It is clear that Miami feels like it needs two more high end FAs to compete now. They are executing the perfect offseason in terms of limitations set by the existing cap. Chicago reacted realizing that Miami was making moves to fill in with Wade and two high priced free agents. I think Joe Johnson is a lock for Miami. I think Amare or Boozer is the other FA for Miami. I don't think that Lebron and Derrick Rose can co-exist. I think Chicago will put Derrick Rose together with either Amare or Boozer (whoever doesn't get the offer from Miami) and then make Rudy Gay an offer and finish it up with a S&T with Memphis. Lebron and Bosh will come to NY, because the two of them are better than any other threesome. And, they fit the Knicks roster pretty well. Lebron (PG), Gallo (SF), Bosh (PF) is a better combination for Lebron than partnering with Wade or Rose. But, I honestly don't think Derrick Rose is that good (though he is better than Gallo, though most of us would treat this like Gallo's rookie year).

King I wouldve gotten Whiteside Jordan and Hobson resigned Lee and see if I could bring back picks for taking one year players in if the next guy inline was someone I was not willing to over pay for--I would have never done that insane deal with Houston--never in a million years. The Knicks are not loyal to their own player--they just need to get a good C to go with Lee and Gallinari--they just wont or cant understand it. It would take a lot for me to give up Lee because I consider him the best player after the top 3 wade LBJ and bosh[and lets be honest bosh and lee are close] people are making bosh out to be hakeem or something
