Why did the Heat make the trade?

everyone knows why the heat made the trade and they should have. problem is, you take joy in it and the only time you poke your head around here is when something happens that is detrimental for the knicks. we all know your a bulls fan already, so what's the point?

How is this trade detrimental for the Knicks? Wade was never coming here and they were short of about $3mil to offer 2 Max contracts and?

You couldn't be more wrong. But I do find it ironic when trades like this happen and we squander assets living off of hopes and prayers. I can't stand Derrick Rose nor Joakim Noah. I think Noah gets the job done on the court but I don't like him. Derrick Rose is as overrated as ever. Remember you adore him so maybe you're the closet Bulls fan partner. I don't want Lebron to sign in Chicago. Somewhat indifferent to Lebron in general as view him and his camp as attention seeking retards.

I want us to make moves that make sense and don't like the fact we put all of our eggs in the Free Agency basket.

Wade/Amare/Joe Johnson

Hopefully we get LeBron and Bosh to counter?

They don't have money to offer three maxes unless they lose Beasley for no money back. And even then, it's dicey.

Rudy Gay's max is around 12 million starting.

No way Grizz dont match an offer for him.

Miami will likely give them Beasley. Another young SF on a cheap deal.

Miami will be a title contender for the next 5 years. We can pretty much bet on that. I'm actually hoping they sign Joe Johnson - I want no part of this overrated bambi.

And this is seriously why the NBA needs to adjust the issue of trades next contract. While it is within the rules it is not the right way to do business.

They are going to clean up. Seems teams are copying the Portland approach.

how is that approach working for portland?

Lets be fair--if Portland had a healthy Oden Pryzbilla Roy and several of there other players--they'd have vied for it all--that is truth.

They made the playoffs in the WEST with a depleted team while we havent sniffed the playoffs in a decade.

They have made the playoffs two years in a row not at full strength.... with their youth. What would you say if Gallo and Chandler took part and did the same while being surrounded by quality youth?

It's called innovation, thinking quick on your toes, being proactive, aggressive and assertive. It's not a coincidence GM's like Presti/Pritchard/Hammonds all for the most part younger than most GMs make bold moves and usually come out on the better end of their deals

As far the trade of course it's obvious why Miami does this

Wade= 1 Max
Name = 2 Max
Name = 3 Max(near Max) with more cap space

DUH!

Wade + Amare/Bosh + Joe Johnson/Rudy Gay

Presti is like ok I got to do what's natural

The Thunder are holding serious talks with the Pacers to trade Eric Maynor, in addition to the 18th and 21st picks for the 10th overall selection.

Going to Hibernate to take long naps is not in his job description

Its not that different from what Walsh did in the Hill and top 2, top 1 protected picks except the Knicks gave up more.

I went back and checked. 2011 is top 1 protected and 2012 is top 5 protected.
