He looks like he's getting in shape. He should be good after he loses another 10-15 lbs.

Thankfully, he's wearing pasties and a sumo wrap. Otherwise I would have to wash out my eye sockets with battery acid to eliminate the stain.

Landry Fields

Strengths: A wing player with terrific size and a great scoring touch … He has continued to make noticeable improvements to his game, and has become a scoring machine in his senior season …

An extremely versatile player, he is able to beat you with the dribble, with the shot or with his back to the basket ... He is comfortable handling the ball on the perimeter and attacking off the dribble ...

At his best operating out of the triple threat where he uses his long jabs and shotfakes to create separation ... He is extremely good going to the basket, where he has terrific patience and a wide variety of counter moves he can use in order to get the best shot ...

He has a tremendous touch on mid to short shots, and he is able to convert against multiple defenders ...  Extremely aggressive slasher, he looks to get to the hoop for finishes or to draw contact ... Very unselfish player, has good vision and is able to create plays for teammates ... Rebounds the ball on both ends of the floor ..

Shift Change

Lead guard - vacant, Toney Douglas must continue to grow
Off Guard - vacant, Rudy Gay would work
Skill Forward - Wilson Chandler
Big Butt Forward - Chris Bosh fits
Center - vacant, sign The Earl of Barrone

Sixth Man - Danilo Gallinari
First Guard Off Bench - Bill Walker
Eighth Man - Summer League surprise
Ninth Spot - Jerome Jordan
Tenth - Andy Rautins

11 - Landry Fields, who no one has watched play
12 - Harthorne Wingo Memorial Chair - Jonathan Bender

6"10. 235

“We’ve been in every day contact with the New York Knicks,” Paluch said. “They’re not looking at (Michael Washington) as someone who would be a big scorer, but someone who would give them 10, 12 minutes and get maybe six points and a handful of rebounds. … What they like about him is his pick-and-roll ability.”

I never believe this "gained 10 pounds of muscle" and "lost 25 pounds of fat" type articles anymore. How can we after them always being proven wrong? (Crawford, Curry, and more that I forget).

Meanwhile, I like Walker. A little hot headed at times when unneeded but overall I like what he showed. Did he do it on a crappy team that SOMEONE had to do it on? Absolutely. Yet there is something there. He has that much needed fire.

If he's in better shape that's a good thing. He can be a good bench player for us.

Earl:

Chandler just isn't all that good.
Bender is garbage and needs to go away.
Our two picks (third traded for? is that official?) are absolutely nothing of value. In my Syracuse cousin's (via marriage) 15 year old opinion, "Rauntis sucks...but he can hit the three, but he sucks." <--and this is the best of the three? I doubt we can rely on such picks. I'd be surprised if any of them are offered a contract.

And, I agree with crzymdups. Your roster is absolute puke destined to win 25 games.

Typo.

Meant 35.

But I still don't like that train wreck of a roster one bit.

Yet we all know BRIGGS.

He'd load our team up with absolute no name trash and be happy with it.

Why...I'll never know. I don't get the fascination with fringe talent scrubs like Fashenko - and now the three bums we picked in the draft. As if a player being young automatically means he's going to improve the way Granger did season to season. It's not a realistic approach.

Briggs is a Stock Market guy- loves to discover and analyze little known companies and find the ones he thinks will emerge as market successes. He likes doing the same things with basketball prospects.

Would not call the guys we picked up in the draft "bums." Depending on who we pick up as FA's you are probably talking about 15-25 MPG from 2 of the 3 (Jordan, Rautins, Fields) with the 3rd getting selected minutes based on necessity.

Not much more you can expect, although I can see the possibility that one of them will see more serious minutes under certain circumstances.

In practice, anytime you get anything positive from a second round pick, it's a plus. Every now and then one of them becomes a starter and sometimes even an all star. But those players are few and far between.

I'm real excited about Summer League this year too. It's usually the high point of the Knick season.
