Ellis is perfect for MDA's teams because its push, drive and dish. Ellis is a monster in transition and is great at hitting open shooters (Lee, Gallo, Douglas, whoever else). Ellis is a perfect MDA player. The question is with his size and if your willing to play him and Douglas together in the backcourt.

The only ones I see as "true" PG's are Paul and Collison and Harris. Billups has never averaged an absurd amount of APG, career high was 8.6 in 05-06. Career is 5.6 per, but the man can score.

Most guys (except maybe Jennings) were tried off the ball at some point.

Rose(him and Kirk switched off), Felton(moved to the 2 with Augustine), Billups was a PG and initiated the offense, but he was a scorer next to Carmelo. Brooks played off the ball when Lowry came in. Westbrook is an EXTREMELY close comparison to Ellis. I think the difference there is Westbrook had Durant to pass to as the unquestioned 1a guy. Ellis was the 1a guy when they felt like hiding Curry.

The fact is Ellis really carried that team for a long while this season (I know, he was on my fantasy team and I kept a close eye on his stats). He kept the Warriors in games.

I am an Ellis fan I think he can play a DWade-lite type(maybe 24, 5, 5 or so) role here in an option B role.
