he's all around and its quite a comparision to Danny Granger. I aint surprised MDA is looking at him
since all MDA wants is guys whom can put ball in hoop & not much more.

Come on man, MDA favors high BB IQ players with all around skills. His system rewards guys that can handle the ball and pass so I can see why he'd like any player that has size and passing skills. He just wants a team full of guys that can effectively pass and shoot, you know, like the 69-73 knicks.

With the amount of freedom his system gives, i can see why he would prefer that.

Yep Hobson has some defensive potential but when Danny Granger was coming out he was a Snr. and he
was bigger than Hobson thus a lot more nba prepared. Hobson kind of spindly.

Additionally a guy I know in my hood was Granger's roomate before N.Mexico stint and was told
about Granger long before his success.

All in all I dont think Hobson is yet to matchup in Granger's style of game. They are swingman.
Sure if Knicks got extra picks perhaps they can check Hobson.

I wouldnt use any of them #2nd round 2 picks on Hobson just yet.
Knicks got alot of needs.

I could be wrong but wasn't draftnet the site that compared Douglas last year to Eddie House? lol
Draftnet is a great site but ignore their comparisons and go right to their scouting reports and videos. Often comparisons are made based on facial features and hair styles as much as similarities in game.

Jalen Rose/Tashaun Prince with some fire. If this kid falls the Knicks should snatch this kid up

from hahn:
Though Donnie Walsh is believed to be resisting the urge to buy a late first-round pick – the going rate will be about $3 million in cash – multiple sources told Newsday that the Knicks have talked with several teams about their first-round picks. The reason for this is the potential of one of the main draft targets: New Mexico swingman Darington Hobson.

The Knicks, according to an NBA executive, have talked to the Memphis Grizzlies about buying one of their late first-round picks at No. 25 or No. 28. Another scenario, according to two other sources in the NBA, is an offer that could involve sending Wilson Chandler and cash to the Portland Trail Blazers for Rudy Fernandez and the No. 22 pick…”

i really like hobson, and i'd love to see the knicks get him on draft night.

I like the Jalen Rose comparison more than Prince.

I would still rather keep Chandler, who would have some versatility as a bench player.

I wish the Knicks would learn from their mistakes. Letting every other team in the league know what you want to do weakens your position and allows teams to plan around you and take advantage of you. Whether it is a trade or the draft the Knicks consistently put themselves in a position where they either overpay or miss out on their goal.

Also, I don't want Hobson if some of the other guys with more upside are available at 38, 39 (i.e. Willie Warren, Terrico White, Lance Stephenson). I especially don't want him the Knicks are planning on getting a first round pick to use on him. I absolutely want no part of him if Chandler is traded to get him. Chandler and Hobson are the same age and Chandler was a starter in the NBA last year averaging 15 and 5.
