If I had to take a C in the 2nd round it would be Omar Samhan

I know Lance S. brooklynite is a great story
However if I am Knicks at 38 & 39 pick I'd take
SG Jordan Crawford and PF/C Jarvis Varnado

Work out the rough edges with Crawford get another sized (bigger) SG through camps or europe and develop both then say Saya-nora to SG/F Wes Chandler try an deal him and get something good in
return.

I like Wes but though he isnt a FA like David Lee if you ask me which I'd rather keep and deal
I'd keep/resign Lee and trade Chandler.

Only way I'd part with Lee if its sign & trade to improve Knicks

Just a question about Varando[sp] at 6-9 210--exactly how is he going to contend with pro C that are 7-0 260 and above? I cant see him playing 4 hes to raw--so basically you are drafting a guy who will play C at a body weight that is fit for most PG's

agree he's spindly but i dont see the NBA as being dominant with those big centers anymore
outside of Dwight,Lopez and few others at Center spot. By the time Knicks pick centers may not be around in a PF/F Guard oriented draft. All the big best guys will be gone from 1-15 or so.

Unless Knicks take a chance on jamaican Jerome Jordan of Tulsa whom claims he can help teams
immediately. I think Varando is more skilled than Jordan but you are correct Varando got to hit the
gym and pump some weights.

lance had a very rough first 3/4 of his freshman year at cincy but come tourney time he did begin to play alot better. i think it's a maturation process, especially for kids like him who have been hyped for so long. he should have stayed in college longer, but i think as a prospect, he's someone you have to look at. he might have alot of success in a free-flowing offense like d'antoni runs.

Looks like we worked out Sherron Collins today. I'm glad to see that -- he should absolutely be in consideration for us at 38 or 39 if we don't wind up dealing those picks. I think he's gonna be a real nice PG in the NBA, something very similar to Jameer Nelson/Jonny Flynn, maybe better. Those are two very good players and I think he's right there with those guys talent-wise..There's really nothing this kid can't do well at the point. I think if we could get Tony Parker, S. Collins would be a great understudy backup. If not, he'd be a nice guy to split mins. up with Douglas at the point. I think a lot of people are sleeping on this guy and I'm not sure why - he's been a very good player for that Kansas program for a long time...I think he's a steal at 38 if he's there......Today they also worked out Trevor Booker from Clemson, Dwayne Collins from Miami & Andy Rautins from Syracuse. Sherron Collins & Trevor Booker I'm very much intestested in drafting. I'm not sure I'd use draft picks on Dwayne Collins & Rautins, but I like both guys..I'd invite them to summer league in a heartbeat. They're two nice players..D. Collins is a big physical guy with prototypical NBA PF size & strength and Andy Rautins can really shoot the ball. Rautins is also showing people he can handle it a little as well and play some point.

Usually I get pissed off every year at the Knicks for not working out the right guys or excluding certain players but this year, I think we've brought in all the right guys so far for a closer look considering our draft position. Nice job so far -- now all we need is to get the Knicks to supply us with the video from these workouts on their web site like other teams give their fans on their sites...

don't even think either of them are drafteable. Scheyer weighed in at 180--he's not athletic he's not a good defender--I think he needs to start in the D league and add some weight. Zoubek reminds of a Utah Jazz draft pick at 58 years gone past. I don't know if he has the skills for the league but he does have the size and strength--who knows. back up if anything.

Tony Parker is 180 lbs and we are about to give away half the kingdom for him. Scheyer has great feel for the game, neither is a good defender though. Zoubek would be a backup of course in the Chris Dudley mode.

how are we giving away 'half the kingdom' by trading an eddy curry expiring deal and someone like wilson chandler? what does parkers weight matter anyway? nash is 178, AI was 150 soaking wet. the way people rag on parker you'd think he was a backup on all these spurs teams.

I guess I was referring to one half of our trade-worthy assets: Chander and Lee (resigned). BTW I would give up BOTH Chandler and TD plus Curry for Parker, though that is probably overpaying for him. TD may have a bright future but Parker is an elite PG.

If we trade chandler in a deal for parker by the draft, we need to buy a first round pick to get a possible replacement. The two players to target are Brackins and Damion James. Brackins is a stretch 4 that would fit well in MDA offense, but James might be the best fit because he basically replaces Chandler as the wing player who can defend multiple positions and is most NBA ready late in the first round.

PG Parker
SG (Lebron/Wade/Johnson/Gay)
SF Damion James
PF Gallo
C (Bosh/Amare)

As things stand my own preferences would be torrance/Blakely at one pick and Alabi/Center at the other. Haven't heard many workouts for Alabi..odds are the knee surgery and poor skills showing at the combine drops him to at least the second round. think they are related though. just don't see him being the slowest center in the draft. I saw him beat way to many 5's down the floor the last two years..so often they resorted to grabbing his jersey or holding sometimes.

But then I don't have a full medical report to examine either.

I can't even fathom why there is a conversation going on regarding unknown hacks who may or may not be picked 38th in the coming draft on a team that is gunning for top name FAs.

You guys amaze me. Really.

Dude, there is enough free agent talk on this website.

What's wrong with discussing our draft picks? We'll need at least one of those two players to be fairly decent so we could field a good roster should we sign 2 max guys. It's not a pointless discussion at all.

Show some empathy/compassion... LebronWatch and FA2010 are starting to chip away at his composure and maybe even his sanity.

Well, true, but talking about complete unknown hacks as if they're something special is laughable at best.

This franchise is trying to score big. Yet we have people talking about scrubs we might pick in the middle of the 2nd round of the NBA draft.

To me, that's just crazy.

And, well, funny.

OMG OMAR ASIK SCORED 22 POINTS IN THE SUMATRAN LEAGUE. WE PICK HIM 38. CHAMPIONSHIP HERE WE COME.

Ya know?

Stupid.
