is this kinda like the same way a cop was trying to justify his job by making up a story about nate newton being caught with 400lbs of weed in his truck?
some of these guys are idiots and we all know zach is an idiot.
I was think about Newton that guy is a idiot but he is a football player. Football player I can understand their need for a side businesses. They can get cut at anytime and contracts are rendered meaningless in the NFL. But basketball is a whole different beast guaranteed contracts worth millions. Randolph has his faults but he isn't that dumb. It wasn't Randolph riding around with the car. It was his friend who screwed him over.
what about shawne williams who was playing for the nets this year when this happened?
Shawne Williams indicted on drug charges hours after NJ Nets waive him
By Dave D'Alessandro/The Star-Ledger
January 15, 2010, 6:09PMJust hours after he was waived by the Nets, Shawne Williams was indicted on drug charges in his hometown of Memphis, the Commercial Appeal reports.
The story says the 23-year-old forward, who hasn't played in an NBA game since November of 2007, was indicted on eight charges.
The story continues:
According to the Shelby County District Attorney's office, Williams was indicted on four counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell, and four counts of conspiracy to manufacture/deliver/sell a controlled substance, a codeine-based syrup. Both are considered Class E felonies and carry standard sentences of 1-2 years, if convicted.
Williams turned himself into authorities and was booked Friday into the Shelby County Jail. His bond has been set at $16,000. He is one of 24 defendants indicted following the Memphis Police Department's "Operation: Lockdown" investigation.
No arraignment date has been scheduled.
