He was a beast...Jordan in his prime would have his way with the rules being what they are today. The Knicks were muggers back in the day.....damn I miss those days....btw...don't sleep cuz that team scored baskets too!

could not have said it any better.
talentwise the CELTs big 3 may have been more skilled but when the night and game was over
Knicks 3 (Ewing 90's team) of Pat, Oak and Starks would have kicked These Celtics up & all over the place, Paul Pierce would going crying to his grandma-ma.

As of matter of fact the old Pacer Team similar to knicks (Davis Boys) with Reggie Miller would have
kicked Garnett, Pierce, Perkins and Allen into submission as well. Those teams as the Knicks would
not take any crap from these Celtics.

Celts Nate Robinson would be toughest mentally again the old teams.
Garnett talks a big game and picks on any NBA player under 6 4' or Non-fighters such as David Lee
whom didnt back down from brash Garnett.

As far as Pierce and his Mouth Oakley would have shut it completely, end of story Match/Game/Set.

Only Players Like MJordan and now Kobe Bryant can standup skill wise to Knicks teams (old)
NOT these faker Celtics & I disdain em' all !

They can go shove their banners in beantown!

Nate the "Toughest" against the old teams? The dude would be slammed and hurt!

X-man has grown in stature to almost super hero status.

He only played one year.

I recal mase and Starks getting bad bone head technical fouls somtimes killin our momentum and driving Riles insane.

They can shove their banners in Beantown, but we don't many to spare.

What about with the old rules you make Big baby and Perkins and let them be sluggo type players? They might inflict some damage. Seems we think only the Knicks can play by the old rules.

The old rules ?
no not really

Pretty teams whom dont get their hands dirty or dive and scraped the floor NEVER WIN.

See the old BULLs, SPURs, even the 2 title ROCKETs teams with Hakeem, Otis Thorpe and Mario Ely
Kenny Smith and Sam Cassell and silent assasin R.Horry.

Cant have it both ways. We/I never thought the NY Knicks were DIRTY
perhaps rest of NBA. Knicks borderline ? perhaps at times but we're talking about heart and soul
the way the old Knicks played by the old rules as you say.

Those knicks were great.
Yes I can only agree with you the Knicks IQ wasnt going to win them games.

Today the teams play, push, talk smack and have rough stuff go on. Only with old Knicks & Pacers
was this deemed eveil

Basketball isnt ballet, its to be played by emptying your guns leaving it all out.

Its reason LA Lakers Kobe teams finally won and got some players to fit into their system
such as P.Gasol whom will knock down anyone as well as he knocks down a shot OR blocks one.
Celtics won that way 2008 and I disdain both Lakers and Celtics.

As far as Nate I perhaps should mention him in same breath as some of these players whom
got a resume

Nate was tough was all I said. To overcome 5-5 or whatever 5-7 height he had he played with
force at least offensively which he had to do to make up for defensive flaws. But didnt back
down from anyone. If Nate was 6-4 he'd be more respected and perhaps at the next level if he
ever developed the IQ for the game.
