eddy's giving it all for us. c'mon you dumb bastards can’t you give him something back?!?!?

McDonalds should give each fan a 99 cent cheeseburger and all at once 19K strong hurl those burgers onto the court on opening night.

Eddy would probably instruct his limo driver to scoop them up and save them for later... sans a thousand or so that he'd wolf down right there.

We could also sponser a Jerome James-Eddy Curry cheeseburger-wrestling-contest. Just put up the Rangers rink walls and fill it with the aforementioned 19K cheeseburgers and let these two fat ****s roll around in it until one dies from a coronary.

Maybe I'm being cruel but I don't feel any sympathy for Eddy Curry. He's pretty stolen his entire salary the last 3 years. He can rot under a bridge in Chicago for all I care. I cannot root for people like Stephon Marbury and Curry.

i dont think anyone does. he's a sloth and a sloth in debt no less. don't let the door hit you on the way out, although that's impossible since you're so ****ing fat.

New York is an embarrassing place that robs everyone that lives here. You could have a 1400-2000 sgf apartment and spend 10K. So throw in the chef and there it is.

But, seriously you have a chef and you are that overweight. It's a real shame we have had to deal with all the losers that Isiah has brought in over there years that have no character work ethic or concept of a team. Nice to almost be rid of the last piece of dead weight.

That being, said. If you have no college degree and a pile of debt and a contract year approaching you would hope the guy is busting his ass finaly to cash in one last time and save his life. He had a rough year that doesn't excuse his lack of professionalism.

Have to wish the big man luck.

This guy is a train wreck for years. Isiah could look into this guys personal life and see he was anything not even close to being a professional about anything. Same for Jerome James.

James is a fun loving dude but while in Seattle he was known to spend big on cars and toys and training is an afterthought.

I don't care what you do, if your going to do it well you have to love your work.

This won't be broke when he retires cuz he already is. For years we hear about his money problems and he still spends crazy.

When the money is gone all his people will be gone. Maybe even his wife who puts up with his infidelity and crap while the cash is good. This guy is going to be sitting broke, no credit, bancrupt with no education and no money.

His depression will eat him up. This guy won't live to see 50.

Dude $10K per month + $6K for the chef is still less than half a million bucks. They guy makes $5-6MM after taxes.

Why is it that some blame IT for curry's habits..Even if he was on another team and we read this about him, still wouldn't change your opinion of him..Curry is a idiot and has no one to blame but his self and the people he has around him..

These guy's learn a great deal about responsiblity when the first enter the league. Just think, we haven't heard anything positive about this moron in the last 2 years, and even when he was in chicago, they essential were giving up on him..If anything give IT the benfit for trying to resurect a few guy's career,

Sympathy for a guy that make's 10+ mill playing in NY and doesn't have one solid investment going.. He has no businesses in NY...NOW THAT HILLARIOUS

Isiah Thomas is to blame for everything that took place with this team.

He signed a center to a 5 year deal full mid level who had career averages of 5pts 5rbs and battled weight problems

He gave up two draft picks for a guy and then signed him to a huge deal for no reason. History of poor conditioning and was not well liked by his teammates

He gave away a draft selection in the Marbury deal after taking on 30 million in salary for Penny not to mention Marbury

And gave a role player a 5 year deal that we had to trade with a lottery pic.

If you're the GM you look into players before you bring them here. The same way it's Riley's fault for blowing it with Beasley. If a player gets injured that's fine, but if you take a chance on someone that doesn't care with a bad attitude thats on the GM

It's the home alone that's $17k a month. The 6k for the chef is extra. As is the rest of the "lifestyle."

I am going to be interested to see if being broke finally motivates Curry to come into camp in shape. This dude's target weight needs to be 285 lb, which is 18 lbs lighter than he was at his best last year. SOmeone needs to sit Curry down and explain that there is a difference between playing hurt v. playing injured. If you are a professional player, you have got to push through playing hurt. Curry still does not get that fact.

Prediction: Curry will be 360 lbs, broke, and out of the league by the time he is 30, and that truly will be ashame.

Trust the Process

Doesn't the league have some sort of financial planning sessions for these kids when they enter? We've been hearing way too many stories like this one of guys with 8-9 figure contracts only to wind up flat broke after the money well dries up.

Again I'm looking at curry has a man who simply doesn't have a fkng clue, and weather IT took a chance on him or not, he's still the BIGGEST LOSER not on the show..

We weren't happy with the high character over paid bums layden brought here either

Eddy Curry Can't Pay His Bills

Curry, who made $273,000 per minute the past two seasons, hasn't paid a personal loan he took out in 2008. It was a five-month loan, at 85 percent interest. Wait until you read what he spent his money on instead.

For some reason, Curry took out a a $570,000 loan two years ago. And for some reason, he did it in Las Vegas, the only place an 85 percent interest rate is legal. And for some reason, he hasn't paid a single penny on it. It's now ballooned to upwards of a million dollars

In court papers, Curry detailed his expenses to try to explain why he can't pay back the loan.

•$30,000 a month in household expenses, not counting $1075 a month for cable and satellite TV service. Dude must be getting porn channels us regular folk haven't even heard of.
•$6,000 a month for a personal chef. If he lowered that to $5,000, he probably wouldn't have clashed with Mike D'Antoni about his weight.
•$350,000 he owes Juwan Howard, for reasons that we're afraid to look into.
•$17,000 a month toward his relatives and dependents, to whom he's given many of his 12 luxury cars.

"Mr. Curry appears to be a very, very generous man," [Allstar Capital lawyer Donald] David said. "He appears to have taken it upon himself to support every person named Curry on the East Coast."

Curry already has his wages garnished, and got a $2 million advance from the Knicks. Why? To pay off his mansion in Chicago, which was foreclosed upon, and also an unpaid bill from Casual Male Big and Tall clothes.

Hey, you think Curry might exercise his $11 million option for next season?

I'm going to switch my last name to curry, nothing but fast foods for 30 days, and show up at his door step

Yeah, but they don't always listen.

Maybe a year or two living on his own in college and having to maintain a 2.0 gpa might have done him some good.

Im not saying he learns anything he can use but he at least some some prolific verbal, reading and arithmic skills.

Things you use to read a bank statement, a loan contract, or a contract.

An education of some sorts would have helped Eddy.

Many of these guys come from poor neighborhoods where no one is teaching them about money. Then suddenly someone pays them 10 mill per year. They have no idea what to do with it or how long it will last. All they know is that they have a lot of it. The NBA does provide a seminar and has resources that these guys can tap into. Plus many of the savvy vets are willing to help. But when you are young and dumb.............

Many of us on this site would not have made the mistakes Eddie has made. Maybe even most of us. But I can bet there are quite a few on here(some that are blasting Eddie right now) that would make the exact same mistakes.

I came from a poor background. When I started making solid money and had enough to travel and live on my own and buy nice things many of my friends started asking me to borrow money. I'm stingy so I wouldn't lend money to anyone. But I would allow guys to work for me and then pay them money. Nobody would. They blasted me for being a sellout blah, blah, blah. There was a lot of peer pressure to just give my friends money, or treat them when we went out. It was tough to say no, but I'm an ass so I had no problem saying no. I've lost most of those "friends". Now I can't imagine the peer pressure and family pressure when you are making millions. Nice guys like Eddie have no shot.........Unfortunately the result often times is not a good one. I fear that it won't be for Eddie. He has himself in a bind and I don't know if he has the cajones, maturity and work ethic to get himself out of it.

I just hope that people will like me

These guys would go a long ways in preserving their fortunes if they learned how to use the word no (to grubby ass family, friends, lovers, etc) and using a condom on a regular basis.
