i think it also really hurts them in getting other big name free agents, althought im sure they'll get someone.

i have a feeling the Nets will end up with D. Lee

i've been saying this for a while now. i could see david lee commuting to newark and eventually brooklyn from manhattan. reverse commute. less traffic.

also, david lee/brook lopez is a solid front court.

I think Turner is going to Philly and Favors will be the Nets pick.

Terence Williams emerged down the stretch of the season...he's their answer at SF. Briggs makes sense with the Monroe idea. Nets need a big man. It really depends on who they can sign....that person might very well be David Lee.

Holy shot....would the Nets trade that pick to get David Lee???

I wanted us to draft T-Will or Clark BTW

The same T-Will BRIGGS stated wouldn't amount to much in the NBA. T-Will is a facilitator, so much so the Nets may consider trading Harris as Thorn has already admitted

"We have been fielding calls on Devin, I'm not going to lie about it."

That being said You make T-Will become the point forward and slide Johnson over to the 3. Sign Free Agents to fill in other holes. I love how Kinck fans like to point out supposed redundancy on a team when look at the Lakers? Look at our very own Knicks.

WesJo is like Grant Hill and Shawn Marion rolled into one player. T-Will is like a poor man's Lebron/Vince Carter. Lebron and Grant Hill definitely could have played together.

You draft BPA if you are the Nets because for the most part they have positions filled.

I like Greg Monroe but like many have concerns over he's like a Paul Milsap type good player, nice skillset, adds depth to a team, but he isn't a player who looks to dominate or has enough of a mean streak to his game. I was high on him last year and still would take him but he didn't show enough growth from this year compared to last year.

Why would the Nets trade the pick when they can sign Lee outright if they want him?

Yi and Lee and or CDR and Harris will be on the trading block. I don't think the Nets are high on Yi anymore

I would take Wes Johnson and send Terrence Williams packing for a big man. Terrence Williams is not a "facilitator" at all, he's a taller Nate Robinson to a T. On a good team, he'd get lost in the mix. You don't turn down a shot at Wes Johnson for Terrence freakin Williams.

Dude I can tell you don't watch basketball or keep up with the sport at all in general

At Louisville T-Will averaged 4.5ast/gm as a SF his last 3yrs. Not only is 4.5ast/gm solid for a point guard in college..... it's even better if it's coming from a small forward. BTW Derrick Rose averaged 4.5ast/gm his Freshman season at Memphis

His last 2 mos of the NBA season(receiving ROTM honors for April) he received 30min/gm playing time he posted

March 14/5/7
April 14/6/7

He's a facilitator. I'd probably have to move Harris maybe open up more salary relief and go with WesJo/T-Will to build a team around with Lopez

I agree. I think....LOL..I mean Brook Lopez, Yi and now Greg Monroe? I don't know man, sounds like an awful lot of finesse types with that mix. That was my first reaction yesterday..I think they'd be better off with a no-nonsense type of big like a Derrick Favors myself. Greg Monroe is very talented though -- didn't mean to shortchange him yesterday...And they still have Josh Boone around to bang and supply physicality & interior D....Tough call. When you get right down to it, they'd be improved with either guy. I wouldn't be surprised if they considered taking Whiteside at 3, even with Lopez...

I was critical of Greg Monroe his first year. Last year he showed a remarkable difference in toughness and it showed in his rebounding. I'm a little jumpy about Cousins and I don't think Favors--atleast for me is skilled enough to take at 3. Monroe is the perfect high low 4--he is nothing like Yi. He's can handle shoot post and pass and he's a solid defender and rebounder. I mean he was legitimately heading towards being a 20-10-5 player in college if he stayed and has those skills.
Why do I want to clog the post with Lopez in there who should really benefit from a second big who has all of those skills and won't create clogging problem in the paint. If I got Monroe and signed David Lee--that would give me a very nice combination of players upfront. Monroe is a unique player--tell me the last big man [6-10 who avg 16-10-4 in a very tough league] I think Greg Monroe is a no brainer top 5 pick and a perfect pick for the Nets.

T will had a great ending to what was a very porous start[on many teams he wouldve lost that opportunity]. I would tend to agree that he should be given the chance to stick and see if he can be consistent. I think however I was much closer to what I thought Steph Curry was than what you thought T will is.

The Nets will likely trade the pick or take Favors. They need an athletic PF.

Monroe, Favors, and Cousins have busts written all over them.

Im not really feeling any of them like that but I think Favors and Monroe will be solid. Monroe is projected later in the lottery so his bust potential is less. Cousins weight bothers me because I can see him eating himself out of the league. Curry is fat but still athletic like Glen Davis.

No way--I think when you find a 6-10 250 pound player like Monroe who is as skilled as he is--and who showed the toughness that he was lacking--he's no bust--he's got player written all over him. He's from G Town he's got a high character. I would always prefer 7-1 260:) but they already have that. Monroe at over 6-10 is perfect for the Nets.

Monroe and Lopez would be the most nonathletic front court in the NBA.

I like Whiteside the best out of all of these bigs but he's not a great fit for the Nets. However if he came in and blew me away--I would consider moving down to 5-7 if I could get something of solid value back. I just think for the Nets--they need to play it safe and they really do have a 5 already.

personally i think the Nets would be better off signing D Lee to a contract & taking Wesley Johnson at #3... that would be their best case scenario to address both their needs.

I don't think so but every time I think of someone saying that with any team I think of Bird Mchale Parrish. Skill size and talent always rule
