he doesnt like D'antoni, and he's not alone.

But it seems like some of ya'll are a conscious about the reputation and attitude of D'Antoni. Bash the source all you want, and you guys are good at that, but D'Antoni is an a-hole and there is always a chance those chickens can come home to roost. Especially for someone who has been as wildly unsuccessful as D'Antoni has been lately.

I wouldnt worry too much, Lebron is a grown ass man and certainly wont hinge his future on the opinion of just Curry, but I find your collective consternation to be telling.

Seb, no disrespect, but what the hell does this have to do with D'Antoni?
Every time the man steps on the court -- all 340 lbs of him -- he gets injured. Never even makes it out of training camp.
How is this on Mike?
I'm not even trying to defend him. If you want to talk about Nate or Darko or whoever, fine, but Eddy's just never ready to play.

If it were just Eddy, then you would have a point. but eddy can say if you dont take my word for it, ask Nate. If you dont take his word for it, ask Larry Hughes. If you dont take his word for it, ask Jordan Hill. If you dont take his word for it, ask Phil Jackson. If you dont take his word for it, ask Marbury.

Alright, he aint going that damn far but the fact remains that this is about D'Antoni's behavior not Eddy. And I think the vibration of nervousness around here is a roundabout admission of such.

If eddy can make it thru the first week of camp it would be an improvement!!!!

Lebron just wants to know if Eddy has any good Catering he can recommend and if they use a certain brand of body soap in Grovers lockerroom or should he bring his own for the shower.

Eddy was run out of town by the Bulls during Paxtons reign and by the Knicks.

Eddy has no cred, even Lebron knows it.

seb, while i agree with you to an extent, that list of guys you mentioned isn't really an all-star cast or even meaningfull cast. curry is self-explanatory, nate doesn't even get playing time in boston, hill is a rookie, phil jackson rips every coach in the league, larry hughes - whatever. ask grant hill, steve nash, qrich, anyone on the olympic team what they think of d'antoni.

i'm not trying to ride the guys jock, but i just think alot of this stuff is overblown when you are losing. if we good players in here next year and they are complaining about d'antoni then i got no problems showing him the door. until then i just think it's tough to evaluate anyone when your team isn't built to win and 90% of the team knows they aren't coming back.

fair enough, but its ammo that doesnt cast him in a favorable light. And its real. It could be a tipping point in the recruitment of a star as opposed to other suitors. The case can easily be made that D'Antoni is a self-aggrandizing, drama queen that never met a player he couldnt disrespect. Somebody like Lebron will no doubt look for professionalism and stability. Those arent D'Antoni strong suits.

Marbury? Really? You're really reaching there. Where's Marbury now? Name one coach Marbury didn't hate?
Maybe D'Antoni is an a-hole. Whatever? I don't give a rat's ass about him.
What I do know is that Eddy Curry is not a professional athlete,
*AND* we hear this same story about him working out in the summer EVERY FREAKING YEAR. Well before MDA was even here.

Even when he's not injured, he averages 5 RPG (as a 7 foot center?!), .8 BPG, and 13 PPG over his CAREER.
If he wanted to, he could be at 9, 1.5 and 18. But he doesn't. And it doesn't have anything to do with MDA.

If you want to bash him over Nate and Hill go ahead. Just don't see it relevant here.

I was just kidding about the Marbury example --- I said that in my post. But you D'Antoni supporters scramble to put everybody else's character into question. At some point its gotta be about D'Antoni. Especially as his detractors continue to multiple.

When is it ever going to be about D'Antoni and his behavior?

Once LeBron sees Eddy the first thing he is gonna say is damn I didn't think D'Antoni had it in him to get this fat slob in decent shape.

To this day D'Antoni still is a respected and loved coach. I'd like to know why your so against him? Just about any coach would have a tough time here the last 2 years. The players on last yr contracts played selfish and the team only had so many wins in it even if everyone did buy in. Face it the team was built to be torn down. DW made that clear from day one.

Mike Brown won a ton of games and is regarded as a poor overall coach. What that tells you is the players matter most. The coach is there much like a jockey to steer the talent to be the best they can. MDA should be able to get the job done as he has in the past.

If Curry had any stones, he'd be workiing out now. If you've never been in shape, you don't start when everyone else starts, you start YESTERDAY! This is his contract year, with a body of work reflects poorly. Maybe Lebron and his agent could impress that upon him.

probably when/if he's fired

Curry and LeBron share the same agent. I can see how his agent told him to go work out with LeBron it will help with the hoopla. And as a reminder to Curry its your contract year get you fat azz in shape ASAP.

Possible Meanings, off the top of my head:

1) Lebron just wants to see Eddy turn his life around cause his mutual agent and friend have spoke to him about

2) Lebron wants to talk to somebody that has played in both NY and Chicago (in that sense, he should talk to Crawford, JYD and Starks, to name a few)

3) Lebron knows that if he comes to NY, the Knicks are better if Curry has some value at all (whether to trade or play)

4) Lebron likes to talk to people who have had more disappointing playoff experiencing (as is Eddy was left out)

Honestly, I think Lebron is doing his due diligence, but there must be some leaning toward NY. You can talk to a guy without having to work out with him (and clearly Eddy is not known as a workout warrior). So, working out with Eddy is either charity or personal interest. I could go either way on that one...

You know I gonna spin wit it

The only reason why Lebron is hanging with Eddy is because he himself is at a low point in his career. Misery loves company.

Lebron will learn from Eddy where to stay away from in Chicago knowing Eddie and Antoine Walker both got robbed in their homes in the burbs there. He also wants to know about Jerry Reinsdorf and Walsh & Danphoney to see if anything has changed with them

It's a deal made in heaven , Lebron loves Jordan and would love to pick up the torch there with young studs around (D. Rose- Noah-Deng) etc.. him who Ball like him

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

i bet that took you a good 15 minutes to come up with that one. probably took another 10 mins to word it right...and then another 5 minutes to give yourself props before hitting submit.

Lebron to workout with our Eddy this summer !!!
