Can we call it tie and just shoot ourselves now or do we have to wait for the final tally?

Hill pick. We all knew that was a blunder from day when it was made. Plus the stakes were higher given it was a lotto pick. I know I was heated when they called that fool's name up to the podium.

Rondo wasnt on many people's radar.

Balkman. He was considered a marginal second round pick and while he proved to be better passing on Rondo was a huge mistake. Hill was rated as a high lotto pick and considered the best big after Blair. I think now that he will get a chance he has a shot at living up to his draft position.

In hindsight, hell yes. But EVERYBODY knew at that very moment that Hill was a bad selection. Nobody said shyt about Rondo until he started blowing up.

Plus, we werent in desperate need of a PG in '06. Last year we were, which makes the pick even that more baffling.

I thought the Knicks should have taken Williams but I know that a lot of scouts were high on Rondo. Williams was supposed to be a lottery talent. Balk wasn't even on a lot of draft boards.

Nice game..but seriously folks it is just unfair to even talk about this till they have been in the league beyond a rookie contract. So I voted Balkman. That said very few were that high on Rondo and he likely owes a good deal of his development to his teammates.

I agree with that. Balkman was definitely a reach, but when it gets to the later first round it can be difficult for certain talents to stick out and emerge.

But there was a lot of incompetence owed to passing on Jennings. So much so, Walsh tried to pass the blame to Isiah.

Looking at your first point, the blame goes to the victim, Jordan Hill. His lack of preparation made him unable to do the job he was brought in to do. That being an adequate replacement for D Lee. Coming in out of shape and clueless made his DNP's the only spot for him. Barron, with similar skillset, carved out a place for himself, and a sure signing in the upcoming season. If not with the Knicks, then surely somewhere else.

Please tell me what Bynum has done except be an overpaid often injured big?

You mean other than collecting some hardware?
It's not like Frye has done anything other than shooting 3 pointers.

The Dyess trade ruined my draft night and still haunts me. I would be fine with Camby and Nene. I never even thought about the talent passed up on that night. I just remember driving over to my friends house to watch the draft and some insider breaking that trade.

To me that has been one of the worse ones besides the Weis over Artest. Balkman got you a pick in this year's draft that may not be bad. Weis got you PEjr. who was never signed.

one of the worst trades in Knicks' history, no doubt about it... i can't believe Layden was that stupid to give up all that for a broken down player... oh wait

To keep it in the proper context, you really need to replace that pic with a pic of an expiring contract with TMac's signature on it. Jus' sayin'.
