He is available because out of all the players they have, he has the most value and they already have a replacment in GEORGE HILL............. Who replaces Duncan ? Manu ? Exactly........

He's expendable because of George Hill? That emerging role player, er...superstar. Hmmm...

For one, pick up games have no time outs, substitutions or time frames.

I dont agree with that.

But in Parker's case, there is a reason they're making him available. When a cat's whole game is predicated on speed, they have a quicker expiration date.

Dude is breaking down.

now we're getting Tony Parker in a trade for our "assets" this summer... i guess CP3 is no longer the fashionable wish list pick.

We traded away the assets to acquire these players for the chance at Lebron.

Man this dude can't hit a 3 ... and would never make it off D'A's bench...he'd be Darko'ed

Seriously though...in game 4 the announcers noted the Spurs lack of 3 point shooters as the reason for their demise.

Of much greater interest to me is the outcome of the Suns vs Lakers or 'small ball' vs 'classic style'

And you don't build a team to be great buying overpriced players. You need to find value. With the notable
exception of LBJ who has great value whatever the max is. We need young improving players... not players playing for at or
close to max who are in their twilight.

When you sign a guy to a 6 year max contract better hope the tank is not empty.

An interesting angle here is DW can hold under the cap and try to wheel and deal at the trade deadline.
I seriously doubt you go from a cellar dweller to a championship caliber team in a year. No matter who you sign it
will take a while for the pieces to make a whole.

If we're making a trade with SA, it's to give them Cap relief to add Tiago, so it doesn't MATTER who we send. We can send anyone just to make the deal cuz it doesn't have to match and that's what SA would want. What asset other than cap relief would we need in order to help the Spurs in this deal. I'm really growing tired of this line of thought which suggests we basically can't make any deals cuz we don't have picks to give in a deal. Until we release guys we still have players that can be sent in deals where we take back more than we send in salary.

I don't know if Lee is their type of player, but it makes me wonder how long we'll have to decide what to do with Lee. Will LeBron and Co really make a decision right away? The way this has played out, it seems like they would be more likely to string everyone along for a while after the signing period starts.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

yeah, you're right... teams are lining up to give us their best players for cap space... we can probably hold out for Kevin Durant if we play our cards right & offer up both our 2nd round picks.

alan hahn is reporting that parker wants a trade to the knicks.

Multiple sources tell @newsday that despite denials Tony Parker has told friends he'd like a trade to #nyknicks. @FisolaNYDN first reported.

It is officially summer now. Every player will be rumored to the Knick's then will suddenly re-sign more cash. Hahn should quit while he is ahead.

i wonder if san antonio would be interested in curry's expiring + chandler for parker.

the knicks would still have 36 million to spend this summer and could put together a really nice team, since we'd be fielding Parker at PG.

doesn't really gain SA anything, does it? Add in Jefferson and maybe they think about it, especially so they can sign Tiago.

i could see pop being interested in chandler, he's the kind of athletic guy they need over there. i don't think they want to resign tony to an extension either.

you may be right about adding jefferson in there. its going to be an interesting summer (obviously)
