Do people in any other profession get paid for having a good heart and trying hard? Isn't there supposed to be something about "results"?

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

That is what fans are about. I root for my team and players I like. I do like Nate for what he is. Once traded to Boston, the Celtics had 31 games remaining. Nate played in 26 of those games. I just hope they didn't sit him for those extra 2 games so they wouldn't have to pay him.

And yes, Nate brought it on himself with his goofy play on the knicks. But as many posters commented here, Nate's 16 game benching was quite excessive.

was it excessive? or planned to make him more trade-able?

i loved nate's heart, but he's not a winning player when his offense isn't cooking. that's why he hasn't cracked the rotation in boston.

Interesting idea. You think that the Knicks kept him out on purpose for such a long stretch just so he wouldn't make the necessary 58 games? And therefore more acceptable in a trade due to less money. This could very well be what happened.
