I don't think mini's that retarded to take another pg in consecutive drafts, cain't see any franchise using 3 straight pick on pg's

if they pass on John Wall they're retarded... if they land the #1 pick, they will likely take Wall & trade Flynn, or trade down to get the guy they want & maximize the pick's value... then again, that's what they should have done with Rubio the year before but they held onto him, so who the fug knows what they'll do.

It would be strategic disaster, though (taking Wall), and they would have little leverage in terms of dealing Flynn and Rubio away.

You can just imagine Kahn, who was foolish enough to think that anyone believed him when he said Flynn and Rubio could start in the same backcourt, at a press conference telling reporters that he plans on starting Wall and Flynn at the guard positions, with Rubio becoming a SF.

The Knicks are just not going to give up Gallinari at this point unless you are getting one of the top tier FA's back in some kind of sign and trade. This past season was too intriguing for Walsh and MDA to give him up unless they are getting a star caliber player back in return.

And if Gallo shows marked improvement next year, with a few "wow" games, he is going to be in the near untouchable category.

We still don't know where he will end up as a player, and until we have a better idea, he remains a Knick.

Flynn played in the triangle offense where a true pg is not needed. Even his teammates(Love+Jefferson) said that the system that Coach Rambis installed has limited what Flynn could do for the team. Jonny wanted to come to NY to play pro ball he loved MSG since his college days. Put him in a traditional offense or a uptempo team and he would become chris Paul #2

Look- I though Flynn was someone we might take if we did not get S. Curry in the past draft. After he and Curry were gone before we picked, I thought we might take Holiday.

You may be right about him not being in the right kind of offense, but in the games I saw of him this year, he was not always that impressive,IMO, when I saw him have a chance to play "out of the box." Seemed more like Nate with a little more sense, and slightly better passing instincts, but nothing to warrant him being picked as high as he was picked.

I heard a lot of stuff pre-draft about guys like Flynn, Jennings, and Holiday being, at heart, pure PGs, and not hybrid type guards, but I did not see that in any of their games. Curry, the scorer, was the best distributor amongst the top drafted PGs, and Collison seems to have been the one true "PG" of the draft.

How does DJ Augustin rank alongside these folks. Awesome rookie year, didn't do a heck of a lot last year. For that matter, thoughts on Felton? Are either of these guys NBA starting quality PGs?

Gallo is untouchable as of now beyond landing Bosh, Amare, Wade, LeBron in an S&T.

Gallo >>>>> Flynn

yea, I don't want to use gallo to clear cap space, and I would not trade gallo straight up for flynn... I would be looking to put together a different package and see if we can get rubio..

Jonny had some good games this yr, but this system does not fit him at all, he came from a school (syracuse) that wanted to run all day long.

Put him in a traditional offense and I think you would see a different ball player.

Douglas>>Flynn Better shooter scorer and just as good on the distribution side. Forget about defensive side Douglas dominates that caregory. Douglas next to LeBron works way better than a pg that constantly needs the ball in his hand.

he is very very small. Thats the big problem. Its hard to find impact players with long careers that small. Flynn, Felton and Collison have NBA bodies. DJ doesnt. He's close to TJ Ford.

yea... I didnt see anything from Flynn that screamed he could really run a great offense. He's tough, can his some shots, etc, but I agree. Douglas is ahead of him in scoring and defense easily. Flynn is a better PG but how much better? And for how long? Douglas is a heady player... you have to think he's going to improve there with experience (if they ever freakin play him)

And you think flynn is gonna regress ? I watched this kid grow up since highschool, he wants to master his craft and will work extremely hard to get better. A rookie pg in the triangle offense, that's use to running is a major adjustment for him. I predict he will shine next year because of his work ethic.
