I thought Jennings was uncoachable or that he was going to fall off the second half the season?

we blew it on jennings.

MS wrote:Walsh and this organization is a ****ing embarrassment. He is selling us on Joe Johnson? He can't even deliver a first round series win against a team of role players and a rookie that we should have drafted.

Walsh had his center he had his point guard. Now we have niether. The only thing that makes you really sick like was mentioned above was the fact that he was made at his scouts? I'm sorry but if there is a kid that was a top three pick if he went to school in Europe and he is falling because of it you do everything in you're power to scout him to death and have guys on him.

So far they have overplayed their hand in the draft and cleared space for no one. We ****ed around with Lee and now we are either losing him or paying him almost 4-5 million more per year than we should have. We should be going into this season with Jennings-Walker-Chandler-Lee-Lopez, but instead we have no center, point guard and a all-star power forward that is going to the Nets.

If we sign Joe Johnson we might as well kill ourselves.

nets line-up can be scary next year if they sweep the draft and get lucky with freeagency (i.e.: lee and bron)....think about that:

wall
bron
harris/cdr
lee
lopez

not a bad line-up to go into the year with.....

Get Chris Mullin in here. Walsh has been a disaster in two drafts and is almost out of Isiah draftees. I don't want him trying to make the right choice with our 2nd rounders.

It really just drives me crazy to think that we passed over not only Jennings but all of the other PG's in the draft. Any one of them would have been great picks, but we somehow took our position of need and a draft geared towards that position and totally biffed on it, picking a guy that it took multiple picks to get rid of instead. Wow.

truth is, the guy barely played for his euro team so, how much could our scouts have learned.

He had a good showing (forget when and where) and there were those who thought he could be good based on his highshool days but, I don't blame Walsh for passing on him.

Had Walsh drafted him and had he been a bust, fans would still be calling for Waslh's head

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

speed kills.

this guy can get anywhere on the court...reminds me a bit of iverson.

you get a guard that can do that and he is tailor made built for today's nba. combine that with some attitude and fearlessness and you have a potentially dangerous combination.

We got a good value out of many of our picks and not so much on other picks. It's not like Jennings was on top of everyones boards and was a can't miss prospect. He did have some questions and some negatives. I understand the disappointment but stuff happens. If and when DW puts his new team together I doubt we'll be talking about Jennings.

This organization constantly drafts poorly and trades lottery pick for over the hill players. The excuses are getting tired.

I Agree, but IT did do a heck of a job..29 teams pass on David LEE

By fans on the Internet. Walsh gets paid to do things like this. Dont worry we will get Jennings in 8 years after he is coming back from major knee surgery.

You love to ride Jenning's jock. Great job on the Bucks. I guess Joe Alexander and Yi Jing-a-ling were also great picks?

Easy to focus on thing and ignore the rest. Walsh has added a couple of good players in the draft. Willing to bet he adds more this summer.

Oh wow... let's not even get into the fact that half of the players drafted after Gallo are more valuable assets than he is.

Its not just that we missed on Jennings. Any team can miss on a player in a given year. Its that we had a gaping hole at a given position, went into a draft with more talent at that position than any of us are likely to see in our lifetime, and where are we a year later? Yup, still need a PG, and we're watching while Jennings, Teague, Maynor, Beaubois and Lawson are playing meaningful games while our team is golfing.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

nah, that's a classic layden/checketts move. Bringing in former players either in the twilight of their careers or when they become major injury risks. It kept NY competitive and put fans in their seats but did nothing for the future.

Walsh is about maintaining a bright future as well as flexibility.

I have developed (over the past 2season) question about the coach but, Walsh has only done what he said he would do. Well sort of; he did say we would be competitive too

Nope , I thought he had the goods and we were desperate for

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I think I remember that about you. If memory serves you was (is it was or were) pretty vocal about it here (and elsewhere unless someone has the same username )

thats why they drafted Douglas. He was the fastest player in the draft.

I don't hate Mullin, I think he's decent (took a terrible Warriors team and got them to the playoffs and even had them win a round against the top seed) but I'm just saying.

Also, Walsh isn't the only GM who passed on him. 9 other teams did. A lot of people thought he would be the next Marbury character-wise and that he wasn't an ideal PG (couldn't school and more of a scorer). We don't know if Jennings would have been the same here under D'Antoni. Maybe he'd be acting like an ass here. But Skiles is a tough guy. He doesn't play games. He demands respect. I wish we had Skiles here instead of Mike.

I know for a fact Jennings wouldn't have been playing defense like he has been in the playoffs if he was drafted by the Knicks. Jennings proving he is talented and coachable.

I will say this. Jennings is the most exciting PG in the playoffs right now.. and that includes that self proclaimed "best PG" and goober, deron williams... ( I can't stand that cat)

Brandon Jennings as a New York Knick under Mike D'Antoni would not be the same player as Brandon Jennings as a Milwaukee Buck under Scott Skiles.

Like who? this should be interesting. ESPN insider had him ranked 8th in his soph class.. He was drafted at #6.. that means only two were deemed to be better than him that were drafted after him... so show me the other 20+ players that are more "valuable assets" that were drafted after him...
