Well Durzo said to bank on it, so I guess that is down.

I don't even think Utah has cap space to sign a max FA- I believe they went close to or over the cap when they retained Milsap.

reading and geography has become a lost art

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

he, I'm no insider, just my belief and I have been wrong before :)
Won't they have cap space if BOOZE walks?? All indications seem (to me at least) that he either resigns with utah or goes to miami or chicago.

well I did read it, I glossed over it for the fact that Dallas is 1,250 miles from Salt Lake City and Toronto is 1,450 from Dallas. Yeah he's really getting much closer by going to Utah...

After all of this and that crazy trade--the one thing I would ask the Knicks to do is keep the cap space open for the following year--atleast enough to offer a maximum contract. I don't think you can do this without walking away without a star player. If they did this to get secondary players than we wasted two years.

who was it then?

I think it was probably Dolan influenced.

Briggs- I agree. Its Dolan pushing- either overtly, or simply by being a demanding influence in the back ground.

He's an addict and the misfunction of this franchise is a external play out of his addictive personality. Most people that are alcoholics just ruin their own family- Dolan is destroying this franchise.

I'm hoping rock bottom happens soon, but I'm not too optimistic.

you mean we havent reached rock bottom nyet..how much lower can we go

How is DW incompetent when he said from Day one his priority was to clear cap space for 2010 and beyond? People are quibbling over the decision to clear more space rather than keep the players to use as trade chips. We have to realize that this is a man that been GM for decades and has built teams from scratch. He said that he weighed his options and i'm sure he did this in counsel with his staff, and he felt this was the better play. We can't know if that's right or wrong until this summer.

fish said ike diogu was going to be the greatest power forward to ever play the game. panos in a laughing fit snorted an entire harp lager out of his nose. fish took offense - at the wasting of an irish beer, of course.

But if it did, we sign a combo of young players like Rudy Gay, Raymond Felton, Tyrus Thomas, Shaun Livingston and Amir Johnson but leave just enough room for next summer to go after a MAX FA like Carmelo Anthony.

Carmelo Anthony? LMAO

You seriously believe he is going to chance the new CBA. I expect him to sign a max extension this upcoming season.

You do know that in the event of a work stoppage these guys don't get paid, right?

You do know that if the owners try to force too much into the new CBA that the players will strike, right?

I think the whole "new cba" thing is over-dramatized when it comes to whether or not a player will "risk" 2010 or 2011 free agency.

Doom and Gloom:

The ultimate doom and gloom is we can't sign anyone and we're forced to retain Lee, Harrington, Duhon. That's the ultimate doom and gloom. However even if that happens we could still go ahead and absorb, say, Elton Brand off the Sixers hands for nothing in return.

So at the very worst, the very very worst, we bring back a 30 win team and add a pretty good player to it. Then we hope that we can do the same the following offseason and suddenly be a pretty good team.

Whoas me, that's just terrible, that the worst case scenario, is pretty good in it's own right.

it sucks worse than you can imagine. especially when we then watch houston use our lottery picks in consecutive years and watch jhill become a starting frontcourt player as well.
