I think Gallo is being eased into playing the 4 or 5. It wouldn't be much of a stretch to assume they had him play the position he has been playing to protect his back. Why take a gamble on him banging down low just months away from a back surgery. We started to see the beginning of the transition when he started driving into the paint instead of settling for jumpshots. He will be solid no matter what position they end up playing him at. The guy has shown some heart this year and elevated his game. He is on his way to becoming a very solid player in the league.
