The idea has to be to explore all options and put the best team they possibly can NEXT YEAR. However that gets done is up to the imagination of the gm and his people.

A lot has to do with what guys that are free want to do. Knicks can't afford to be setting the market with guys.

What you guys think about signing Mike Miller and ray Allen? I'd rather have both instead of just Joe Johnson.

Wrote a blog about it last night....plus something about Chris Paul http://diehardknicks.blogspot.com/

can't read that site at work, but since you are now doing a knicks blog site...i think you should explore the podcasting avenue. get a microphone for your PC and an audio editing software and go to work. i bet a ton of folks will listen to it, especially when the season rolls around.

you know, gettin back a healthy and in-shape eddy curry is going to be like adding a solid free agent acquisition, but people overlook that because, technically, he's been on the roster. don't sleep.

i think if we miss out on the superstars this summer we should make moves to retain our flexibility to go after a superstar in 2011... u need superstars to win championships for the most part... there have been an exception or two but for the most part that's been the formula for success in the NBA... i'm not interested in just building for the playoffs, i would like to have a championship vision in clear focus & every move we make being made towards achieving that end.

i wouldn't even mind using our cap space to acquire picks from bad teams so we can build up through the draft if that option is available.

who's going to take our players for high draft picks in return..is there another donnie walsh that we can take advantage of..we already trade our assets high draft choices for a hope and a dream..tms now you falling for the flexibility garbage the knicks are giving us

i'm not falling for anything, i've maintainted from the very beginning i wish we'd have gone that route & amassed as many young assets as possible so we would have pieces to make future trades with... also been an advocate of freeing up cap space from jump but NOT at the cost of giving up a lot of future assets.

the BS that DW is feeding to Knick fans about flexibility is BS cuz everyone knows he's all in for Lebron this summer... at this point, i think most Knick fans are all in too, & so am i... but if we miss out on Lebron & Wade i don't want us caving to pressure just to use up the cap on guys like Joe Johnson & Carlos Boozer... & if D Lee's agent is demanding $12 mil per then i pass on him too... in that type of worst case scenario, i would rather make manageable value signings that will net players who can be productive without becoming an albatross on our payroll.

that's not saying i'd be satisfied w/missing out on Lebron & Wade... i'm gonna be hugely disappointed if we ended up giving away all those assets to end up with David Lee & Mike Miller this summer.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
