I agree. Just playing with Barron, you saw Lee's rebound number fall by 2-3 rebounds a game. I think on a normal team, Lee is a 16 pt/10 rebound a game guy. On the level of a Haslem (who is better defensively but not as gifted offensively). He is definitely not worth $13 mil per season.

We saw it with Zach. Lee looked like a bum out there alongside Zach. The same will happen alongside Amare. Perhaps it would be Bosh playing like the bum alongside Lee. Regardless... Lee+Amare or Lee+Bosh will not work. Just like McCurry+Zach didn't work. Both players won't be giving you 20/10. One will and the other will put up SCRUB stats. 12/7 or something. So then what's the point of paying someone nearly the max to give you bum ass role player numbers?

You need two dominant players and a handful of role players. The two dominant players cannot both be guards and cannot both be forwards/centers. It does not work. You need one dominant big and one dominant guard. The rest need to be role players.

Or, it needs to be a situation where say the Spurs got Duncan who was dominant and DRob stepped out of his way but gave all he could as a role player. I can't see any of Lee, Bosh, Amare playing that dynamic duo role though.

If Lee is being paid, I can see him being the 2nd fiddle. He's been there before and I don't think he has that kind of ego problem. He just wants to get paid well. Now I don't agree with his agent on how much he's worth, but in terms of him being OK with playing alongside a star, I think Lee is perfectly capable of doing that.

Thing is tho that i'd prefer to get a stronger defender and pair that player with a solid C who also defends. It would make us stronger. Bosh/Camby or Bosh/Chandler is better than Lee/Camby or Lee/Chandler or Tyrus. You get the idea. Put a better defensive star PF on the team and pair him with a strong defender and that will lead to championship level defense.
