Stop making sense? How about stop posting the same repetitive negative nonsense over and over. Why not try and be positive for once in your lives? Why not try and have some hope for the summer? Sick and tired of constant negativity. Do you think negativity helps anything, especially right now? We had a right to be pissed under Layden and Isiah but why are people crying right now? Why are people trying to predict the future? A negative fucture, not even a positive one. Why? Can't you just take things as they come and be a little more positive. Why does everything have to be the worst case scenario?

Listen to The Secret. Positivity brings on positive aspects in life. It's all in the brain, the way of thinking. Negativity doesn't bring anyone any good and just makes people more miserable. To quote the great Stephon Marbury, "don't get caught up in basketball, get caught up in life!". That's it. Be positive just a little damn bit instead of telling everyone we'll sign Jerome James and Jamison Brewer this summer. Can't anyone have anything good to say and have some hope going into one of the biggest summers in franchise history? Jesus Christ!

alot of the same concerns you're hearing rehashed over & over about Donnie's plan have been voiced when Isiah made those trades to acquire guys like Zach Randolph & Eddy Curry in the past... some of the same people preaching patience & optimism now were defending Isiah's decisions to make those moves then... personally i don't think all of us joining hands & singing the Sun'll come out tomorrow & Kumbaya is going to change things this summer... people are voicing legitimate concerns here, don't u think they have as much right to be heard on a forum as anyone who has a different look on things? i hear a lot of talk about how the same complaints are repeated over & over but on the flipside don't u also hear the same company line being towed by the same people that have supported every move that our FO has made for the past decade?

this isn't even about an Isiah vs. Walsh issue... this encompasses a general lack of foresight & irresponsible trades this franchise has made this entire decade to try & piece together a playoff worthy team... personally i don't even believe this ownership could give 2 craps whether we win a championship someday or not, all they care about is selling tickets & putting fans in the seats... judging from the continued support of the loyal Knicks' fanbase i'd say they've succeeded.

What's a legitimate concern? Saying we're not signing anyone, this plan sucks, we suck, Jordan Hill rules, all our trades suck, Mike D'Antoni sucks, the best we'll do is sign Rudy Gay and Joe Johnson, Donnie sucks, etc?

Those aren't concerns. It's people complaining just to complain. It's people acting like mini Ms.Cleo's around here as if they know what the future holds. Giving me a doomsday scenario is pointless. We will cross that bridge when we get there, not before it. I'm sure Donnie Walsh has contingency plans we don't know about.

People acting like the world is going to end on July 1st really need to give it a rest.

And for the record, the past decade is over. It's gone. It's in the past. The Layden's, Isiah's, Marbury's, Eisley's, Jerome's, whatever. I'm not looking at July 1st and thinking about Shandon Anderson or Malik Rose. I'm looking at it as a new day for the franchise and putting some hope into the team for the first time in years. That's how I'm going about it. Others here can just swim around in our miserable past and remember the days of Clarence Weatherspoon and Maurice Taylor but I'd rather remember the present and think of the future. We are living in the present, right?

no, those are actually just the overly simplified & dumbed down twists you want to put on the valid arguments people have been presenting to you... legitimate concerns are giving up future assets for a player we're not even sure is going to come here this summer... legitimate concerns is seeing a franchise place so little value on developing its future that they'd rather play scrubs like Jonathan Bender over the kids they just used their 1st round picks to obtain... legitimate concerns are hoping that we have finally learned from the mistakes of the past & won't settle for overpaying for secondary talent that won't lead us to where we want to get to... people have these concerns because they are all things that have been happening over & over for the past 10 years now... we are all hoping the pattern does not continue... that's why people are concerned about it... that's why you see people expressing these concerns on a Knicks message forum, to have those concerns heard & discussed... people don't waste hours of their day to have their words misrepresented & over simplified by people who just refuse to hear anything that someone with an alternate viewpoint has to say or consider the points that are being brought up.

when i complained about the stupid trade to bring Zach here i got lambasted by guys like you for being a whiner & a complainer too... when i complained about the stupid decision to sign Big Turd James to a full MLE i got insults thrown my way for being an armchair wannabe GM who didn't understand the game of basketball... when i preached patience for prospects like David Lee, Danilo Gallinari & Jordan Hill i was told i didn't know what the hell i was talking about... excuse me if i don't pay much mind when guys like you tell me i don't have a valid argument.

The thing is about a top tier free agent and the Knicks--you look and say there is instability in management[69 YO GM] instability in ownership[Jon Dolan proved to be the worst] and a coach who does things different than how teams win an NBA championship[little emphasis on D] with a roster full of various holes big holes that FA wont fix in one year.
It's not really about NY and how much money etc... it is all about the fact that NY has been terrible for 10 years and cant seem to put the management in place that has the ability to put it together. Too many ? marks--the Nets have less.

I waste hours of my day seeing the same threads every day. Isn't that the same thing? The same topics. We aren't signing anyone, what's the point, right? We might as well sit here and grovel about getting Joe Johnson and David Lee. That's what we're ending up with, right? That's what everyone here is telling me, so it must be true.

You don't need to write me a 2 paragraph lecture about the point of your posts and others posts. I know what the point of them area. It's something that's been regurgitated ad nauseum ever since the Zach/Crawford trades. It's something that once again came to fruition after the trade deadline. People concerned. They are concerned. Okay. So am I. There is a difference between being concerned and posting every day about how our team blows, nobody wants to play for No-D'Antoni and how we have no shot at the major free agents. That's not a concern. That's just swimming in a pool of your own tears. That's not what should be happening right now. I don't feel that way.

And before you say I'm on D'Antoni's nuts or Walsh's nuts or a Hill hater or any of that nonsense...I'm not. I hold no allegiance to anyone but the Knicks. I'm not nixluva trying to sugarcoat a bad team. I'm a realist who sees what the summer is all about. I have hope for the summer because I've waited 2 years for it. If it disappoints me, so be it. But to go into the summer ALREADY disappointed and with a loser mentality? No, I'm not doing that.

i don't remember ever saying Donnie Walsh has already failed in his plan so dunno where you come up with these accusations... i said it was a huge risk for him to take & he better have some guarantee up his sleeve to justify playing Russian Roulette with a loaded pistol with the future of our franchise... i said i was unhappy with how our assets were mismanaged this season... it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize this, it's pretty common knowledge... when people talk about the Knicks they think about a joke of a franchise that has no idea what they're doing... regardless of what you may think my intention is, i'm going to tell u now my hope is that Donnie's plan succeeds this summer so my concerns will be alleviated... even tho you'll probably resort to saying i'd rather see his plan fail so i can get my jollies posting "I told you so" posts that's not my intention... i'm as much of a fan of this franchise as you are, believe that... i'm sorry but i can't always be about rainbows & unicorns when there are things about this current regime that raise these concerns... if you hadn't noticed there are a good number of fans that are in the same boat who WANT to discuss these issues... if you don't care to participate, no one if forcing your hand... last time i checked this was a COMMUNITY forum... if you would rather only see threads posted that are more to your personal liking i would suggest creating a personal blog site & posting to your heart's content.

I'm not sure why you think every post I or someone makes is an insult towards you or is made to incite an argument. No need to go after me and tell me to post elsewhere. All I want is people to stop acting like the Knicks franchises' funeral will officially take place on July 1st. I don't know what you've been posting. I only know what others around here have been posting, mainly guys like BRIGGS and CrushALot. If you're offended by my posts then you must fall in line with their thinking or just simply want to argue for the sake of arguing. I don't want to argue or turn this into a you vs. me discussion.

My original point still remains and people should heed that point. Get the message. Don't be walking into the summer wiping away tears of pain. Have some hope. Because it seems some around here love misery. You know what they say, "misery loves company". Looks like that's been going on here recently. It's been Groundhog Day every day here.

I can't believe the Knicks did the Hill trade. I have felt like this several times before, when they passed on Ron Artest in the draft and when they traded for McDyess on draft night. I think both of those moves still haunt this franchise and my fear is that this trade will have the same or greater negative impact. Sorry I can't put a positive spin on it. Unfortunately unless a miracle occurs I think it will be brought up on a regular basis at least until after the 2012 draft.

Positive spin? What's there to spin? It's cap space. It can be used. That's it. That simple. Nothing more, nothing less. Crying about Jordan Hill and telling me we're not signing anyone because we traded Jordan Hill doesn't help anyone or anything. It really doesn't. Neither does bringing up the Mcdyess trade from 8 years ago. This is 2010. This is April 2010. July 1st, 2010 is a big date. The other stuff is in the past now and it will definitely be when that date rolls around. Having some hope isn't a sin, regardless of what you think about Jordan Hill. Only negative thinking like yours - wallowing in misery for no apparent reason - can produce the events for which you foresee occurring. Miracle? No. It will hardly be a miracle. It's New York, it's free agency, it's cap maximum cap space for 2 players. And it's 3 months away. No miracles here. Just reality.

Reality is unless the Knicks get LeBron and Wade or Bosh they messed up.

Reality is that you're not reading anything I say and continue to spew negativity.

Really? I thought that post was a disrespect actually. You obviously don't want to listen to what I have to say. You are too stubborn to accept anyone else's point of view so damn me for even trying. You don't care about what I say. So in that case, you might as well reply back with something sarcastic or just some general negative sentence without elaborating any further.

That's cool. But don't act like you proved anything with one sentence. I replied back because you said nothing constructive and just regurgitated a line that I'm sure you've written 200 times over in one way or another.

Whatever dude. If this is what makes you happy, so be it. But it doesn't make me happy reading constant non-stop negativity.

It's not about the topic, it's about the line of thinking. And when 75% of the topics are the same thing, it's hard NOT to get annoyed eventually.

i dunno what board you're looking at but i only see 3 or 4 threads dedicated to the topic of Jordan Hill or concerns about Lebron James coming to NY... there are more threads talking about possible targets this summer than there are criticizing Donnie Walsh or Mike D'Antoni in fact... there is a thread you posted complaining about Jerome James & yet here you stand lecturing other people when they post up threads about Jordan Hill... where is this 75% stuff you're referring to cuz i don't see it.

Complaining about Jerome James...lol.

If that thread was a complaint then I don't want to see what a complaint is.

But okay, sure, you're right...again. As always. It's all cheery in here. I think I'm just crazy. I can't see the positivity oozing out of every thread of this forum. I have problems. I'll deal with them.
