In this system all five starters should be able to knock down a 3....that's what we have to deal with as long as MDA is our coach..we can't put certain players out there that don't fit the system..we have to relize that we will remain a jump shooting team and in order to have success we have to have the players that fit the bill despite weather there soft or one demensional.

i don't get or agree with that type of logic at all... the point is to put together a team that can contend for championships... at what point in the history of the NBA has a championship team been built with a no defensive soft frontcourt & comprised of 5 starters who could shoot the 3 pointer? are you saying those are the only players that are a good match for MDA? if that's the case, what's the point in building a team around a coach who can only work with a team full of jump shooters that's soft & 1 dimensional? makes absolutely no sense to me.

we need to build a team build around balance, not just guys who are all cut from the same mold... we need defensive minded players to offset the deficiencies of other guys... we need shooters to offset the offensive deficiencies of other guys... you need to strike a balance, regardless if MDA is going to coach this team or someone else... a Frye & Lee frontcourt would be the softest worst defending frontcourt in the NBA, pretty much what we've been witness to for a while... if u want Lee to work out you absolutely need to pair him up with a defensive minded C who can defend the post & block shots, not someone who's going to float on the perimeter launching 3's all game long.

i said a defensive minded C, not a big man stud... Marcus Camby, Brendan Haywood, Emeka Okafor, Tyson Chandler... these are the types of players u need to put alongside David Lee if you don't want guys walking into the lane & getting easy layups all game long.
