People need to realize that Hill is not a scrub. He's a developing talent and DW and MDA didn't want to wait on him. They preferred to have the cap space. It doesn't mean Hill won't develop into a good pro.

yes, he'll be fine. but was he worth $10M in cap space? donnie sez no.

also, jordan hill has never ever taken over a game the way gallo did in his rookie year against atlanta. some players have a spark and just need to learn to harnass it. other players are mikki moore. jordan hill hustles on offense and has some skills. he's a horrible defender at a position where defense is a premium and will never be a star.

who are these negative ****ers you're calling out here? just curious... i've seen the same posters who have complained about Darko & Jordan Hill's mishandling this season also give high props to Gallinari for his improvement this year... i've also seen them saying how pleased they've been with Bill Walker & Toney Douglas' play...

as for Sergio, sorry, but he still stinks.

I messed up and forgot the 9reb. It should have read 12pts/9reb it has been edited since. I get your point and it's true. What does Hill have to do with Gallo?

2 different prospects but u would figure the people who are showing patience towards Gallo would have done the same for Hill, but guess that's too much to ask for some.

i've noticed a ton of insults being thrown at people who criticize MDA or DW around here & these same people are complaining about the negative comments that are directed at the Knicks' management... seems very hypocritical to me... all i see is a bunch of crying from you guys about the amount of crying that's going on about Darko & Jordan Hill, & yet no one seems to notice when the positive comments about Gallo, Walker, TD, Earl Barron, David Lee, etc. are made in other threads by some of the "negative ****ers" that you may be referring to... i know for damn sure i make plenty of positive observations about this team when i notice something worth commenting about, but no one wants to talk about that because it's more fun to label people as whiners or negative ****ers or whatever else & add nothing else of worth to any of the discussions going on around here... this isn't directed at you, i'm speaking in general terms.

u don't hear much about what we're doing because not all of us even knows what's going to happen this summer... DW traded away young assets for cap space... until we see how things play out this summer, we don't know what he's got planned... people bring up the pessimistic scenarios because of past history & how we've been royally screwed in the past by trading away draft picks... people are afraid of repeating the same past mistakes... it's a reasonable misgiving considering the track record this franchise has had in the past decade... right now, what can we talk about that's been a really positive outcome of this season? D Lee's improved midrange J... Gallo's development... a few guys like TD, Bill Walker & Earl Barron who seem like they will factor into next year's plans... those things are all being talked about currently... what more do u want to talk about that's positive that u don't think is being discussed? if there is something, why not post a thread about it instead of complaining that people aren't talking about it? seems logical to me... whenever i want to talk about something i post a thread about it... i comment on threads i want to comment on... i avoid threads i don't want to comment on... it's all pretty simple once u get the hang of it.

we'll see in due time... right now there's no way for you to cap his upside... so far he's shown some nice improvement with increased minutes since the trade to HOU... i heard people call Gallo nothing but a stiff legged Euro bust last year after watching him on YouTube clips before he'd even played a single NBA game... i heard people call Jordan Hill a Mikki Moore clone this year before he even hit Summer Leagues... it's actually pretty funny the comparisons people jump to w/these rookies sometimes... Gallo was Bird Lite last year to some, Boki Nachbar to others... this year he's proving he's a very promising young player that should have been given more of a look before any labels were thrown his way... i think Jordan Hill deserves the same consideration... but of course you got your expertly qualified draft gurus on this forum who seem to know more about these prospects than the NBA scouts do who's word is always gospel... i suppose u can believe who u want to believe... personally i try not to make predictions on prospects unless i've watched them play for an appreciable amount of games.

But it was either Hill or Chandler or even Douglas....

for me it doesn't even matter if u want to eat your words or not, u don't gotta like Jordan Hill... everyone has their own preferences when it comes to judging talent... but respect that other people have a differing opinion that doesn't necessarily agree with yours... i happen to think Jordan Hill is going to be better than just an energy role player, i think he's going to be a good player in this league when it's all said & done, not a superstar necessarily but a definite legitimate starting calibre player at the very least... but even tho i think that, if someone disagrees i'm not gonna start hurling insults at him & accuse him of not understanding basketball & crap like that i've seen thrown at me for supporting the guy... that sheit gets real annoying but i guess some guys around here think it's cool to trash other people's opinions even if the people they're trashing go to huge lengths to try & explain why they feel a certain way on an issue.
