Miles is a bust and Frank showed promise O.T hustles, how is that reasonable?
Miles isn't a bust. Maybe a disappointment for #3 pick, but he's 9ppg, 5rpg for his career. Plus he's only 21, very athletic and still has plenty of upside. Admittedly, not sure if his head's on right or if it ever will be. Some risk here.

Williams has upside too, no doubt. But he's not going to realize it behind Steph. And he's not a 2. So I think Miles is a better fit for the Knicks.

OT is replaceable. Tons of guys who can do what he does. I'd rather have KVH play some backup 4 and give minutes that would go to OT to Miles or Penny at the 3.

All we need to know is that Frank Williams BURNED Kobe and Stuck him for 17 large. COME ON, Frank is a good pawn, and would be good to hold onto for a minute...

that would be a New York minute.... and his time is ripe and up.

Steph can play the 2 when Houston is injured or IN FOUL TROUBLE not Frank and we need more creactivity. Why is everyone trying to say frank will play AS A STARTER OVER MARBURY AS THEIR ARGUMENT WHICH IS LUDACRIOUS. Zeke said he doesn't want players to have defined positions pg sg sf pf etc... he wants ball players that can play multiple positions.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

5 players for sheed and Ruben is too much. Nash must see what he can get. Problem is Sheed walking has a lot of value also for portland. Some teams actually have a 2-3 year plan!

I think Keith is worth keeping but how do we get Rahweed without portland taking on anderson or Penny? How do we take on more bad contracts like derek anderson?

Mutumbo/Doleac, RaWheed, KVH, H20 and Starbury as a starting 5 can make the finals if they buy into the beautiful thing of winning a ring. THe boys of summer they won't be, but its an interesting mix: 2 choirboys, an African philanthorpist, a lunatic, and a gunslinger.

Forget get about Wallace and Ilgaskus. Let try to hold on to Thomas and Van Horn and try to get for example:

Stromile Swift for Mike Sweetney & Othella. Not sure if that is goona be enough. I think Swift is going to get even better and I would consider trading Kurt Thomas for him.

I would try to get my hand on Desanga Diop from Clevland for Frankie and Doleac. Even though I hate giving up Frankie, Diop would be a valuable back up to Deke and be our Center of the future.

So yes we are trading our only young players (besides Marbury) but we are getting back young players at need positions.

Our best 2 players are in the backcourt. And they both play a lot of minutes. Our best sub IMO (don't believe Penny's done) is also in the backcourt. That's why we should trade Williams. He's not a bum, just can't give the knicks as much value as he could give another team where he might start or get 20+ minutes.

If we can get even talent, youth, potential etc. and get a front court player, then we move one of our weaker subs (Doleac or OT) out of the rotation, or, better yet, package FW with one of our front court starters to get an all-star caliber starter at the same position.

Miles is one idea. I'd rather get someone like Wilcox, Bender, Swift like others have been saying if we go w/ first option. Don't know who would work for the 2nd option ... Rasheed wouldn't be my first choice, but I've got faith the Zeke'll come up w/ something.

Darius Miles reeks of under-achievement. NY Fans attacked Sehorn for doing a TV and the Superstars event. Miles is the main character in an upcoming movie. How do you think fans are going to react to a player whose main objective is to be an actor and bumping his forehead twice?

Also...what role would Miles even play here? Miles is so thin that he's strictly an SF. Anderson is a pretty good backup at SF in spite of his contract. He has played very well the last month, and I think he equals Miles scoring at this point, and offers a huge advantage on the defensive end. Penny can also play SF and is a better scorer/creator than Miles. Unless KVH is moved Miles simply does not fit.

To reiterate, we need to be looking the athletic backup power forward route. Someone who is a change of pace from Thomas and can run with guys like Marbury and KVH while we use Thomas/Doleac at Center.

I like the idea of getting an athlete PF not another sg/sf in Miles, whether he is athletic or not.

What about Dampier? Think he is on the market for the right combo?

I would love swift. Athletic as hell and blks shots. We can definitely find minutes for a guy like that. Miles won't help us unless he finally lived up to the hype and takes H20's staring job.

Silverfuel...Wilcox, Al Harrington, Stromile Swift....someone mentioned Bender earlier...These guys all fit the bill. Drew Gooden too. Al Harrington is rumored to be on the block.

but I don't know, Frank might be a better player than those guys. I like what Isiah said about just having good players on your roster.

Frank might be better, but Steph is fully able to play 40 mins and Frank just won't have the impact a guy like Wilcox or Swift could getting 20-25 mins a game behind Thomas (and playing next to Thomas when Thomas is at center).

WHen was the last time someone in a power position said that they wanted good players on the Knicks roster and actually backed it up with ACTIONS?

It's like a breath of fresh air, knowing we have someone that proactive calling the shots on the Knicks for a change.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Frank might be better but that's a big might. Frank has played 455 minutes this year. That's not a lot of time to judge a guy on and he won't be getting much PT now.

Harrington, Swift and even Gooden and Wilcox can all be judged more accurately and I think everyone of them could help. Frank might turn out to be good or might not and unless there is a rash of injuries we won't find out while he is on the Knicks.
