all of these guys still have plenty of basketball left in them if u ask me... no way would i put them into no "veteran's minimum" category to win a ring... they all can be key components of any championship roster.

Totally agree and it's a testament to how great they are that they are still so productive and impactful.

they keep themselves in great shape... u can add Jason Kidd to this list too, he's still far from being done.

I maybe wrong but didn't stockton play til he was 39 or 40yrs old, and if i recall correctly he did play at a pretty high level til his last game.

he was still an 11 & 8 guy in 28 mpg his final season with almost 2 steals per... that's still very high level play for an old washed up former star player... right now Steve Nash is putting up better numbers than Stockton put up at the same age & he shows no signs of slowing down.

Steve Nash
Tim Duncan
Manu Ginobili
Tony Parker
Kevin Garnett
Ray Allen
Allen Iverson
Shaq
Yao Ming

6 of these players have already won rings, and 4 of them multiple rings.
I don't think they'll be desperate to go in as mercenaries for a championship.
They'll probably have higher motivating factors

What I meant by fading stars was players on the downside of their career that were once top tier players at some point in their careers. You can add TMac to that list too. And some of those guys will be able to keep up their play as they get older because of the style they play and I think Nash is one of them and I think Ginobili might be another... Im not to sure about the other guys though.

Totally agree and it's a testament to how great they are that they are still so productive and impactful.

But none of them are maxworthy, right?

It all depends on how important a team feels that player is to their success. I could see a team paying Duncan big dollars. Manu was never a Max guy. Tony tho he is really good doesn't seem to me to be that kind of guy either. KG will die a Max guy :) Nash is likely not a Max guy only due to his advanced age. In terms of what he means to a team, he has that kind of impact. If a team did decide to give him a near max deal I wouldn't scoff at it. He's that good.

btw, just to throw a little more fuel into constant the David Lee debate, he has the second highest efficiency rating in the league after Lebron, and above all those others in your list. For whatever its worth...
