not completely botched, at least we had enough sense to hold onto Toney Douglas... kid looks like a player & i love his defensive intensity... love that pick.

we completely flugged up the #8 pick tho, no doubt about it... we take a talented guy who could have filled the hole in our frontcourt, give him no playing time & end up dumping him to get rid of $7 mil in cap this summer... bad asset management.

Well remember the trade was to involve both Hill and Douglas if the Knicks didn't part with their pick. So I don't know where they will be drafting the following years to determine if it was worth it. Morey was a shark and Donnie was nice and bloody. If the Knicks get into a bidding war with Houston for Bosh's services via S&T then Walsh will get thrash by the sporting community as a whole.

HOU will definitely be a player this summer w/a boatload of young assets to deal in sign & trade scenarios... in many ways they're in a better spot than we are to attain the big name FA's this summer... really the only thing we have going for us is the market we play in... HOU holds every single advantage otherwise... the cap space we own gives us a clear advantage for the 2nd & 3rd tier guys, but the top of the line FA's are more likely to be dealt in trades... no team is going to let their superstars walk for no assets in return, & no superstars are likely going to leave that 6th year at max salary lying on the table... we're pretty much hoping that Lebron & Bosh screw over their teams to sign w/NY this summer at this point & leave a boatload of cash behind in the process.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I wanted him to play more but I didn't like what I saw and had no problems dumping him. Even if we strike out this summer the trade was still necessary in order to give us a chance. No matter what the trade had to be done.

I'd be more worried about the 2011 pick than Jordan Hill to be honest.
