I cant believe guys are really trying to say Steve Nash isn't athletic. Athleticism isn't just how high you can jump. Nash isn't lightning quick but he is no slouch.

Steve Nash has pathetic hops but he is fast on his feet.

He has soccer like athleticism. Tremendous footwork. Nash I would say is more skilled and not so much athletic. Like he can throw accurate passes across his body probably faster, stronger, and with timing than 95% of players in this league. He knows how to use angles and has a great core balance. He does do some athletic things here and there but his forte is skill

--->You need size and/or athlecism(strength, agility, speed) in the NBA plain and simple.

Like Steve Nash Steph Curry John Stockton etc...

Steve Nash is lighnting quick and was a lottery pick.

Stephen Curry is no elite athlete but he can finish around the rim. I like how you mention lottery picks. Why not mention JJ Reddick?

We need guys who can excel in D'Antoni's system. Freddete might be a shooter off the bench for a team 3 yrs from now but he isnt going to help us here. With that said there is ALWAYS someone who slips in the draft that will be light years better than Fredette.

Im not going to argue with you but Steve nash has never been lightning quick--he's just a great player.

I agree, Nash doesnt have an athletic bone in his body but he is a huge exception to the rule, bruh.

I had my doubts about Steph Curry, but those doubts have obviously been quieted by his play. Damn, Walsh should have kept his interest in him on the low. SMH.

Anyway, Curry none-withstanding, 6'2 players from mid-majors have the deck STACKED against them. Going from the Mountain West conference to the NBA will be like going from pee wee to high school ball.

The MWC has 4 teams in the NCAA's--I believe the second or third highest total

I'm very familiar with the Mountain West. SDSU is in that conference. Decent teams, but not a lot of high-end pro prospects.

Stephon Curry is an NBA star in the making. If we truly had a chance to get pick 5 and passed--we F U so badly that it's a sting that we will feel for years.

Explain why NBDLrs on their team drop 20pts with ease?

You saw Anthony Tolliver had 30pts the other night?

You saw Reggie Wiliams had 20pts+ and scores about 20+ every 4rth game right since his call up only 2weeks ago

You know Corey Magette is shooting over 50% on the season right?

You know GSW leads the league with the most 20pt+ games by different players on 1 team right?

You know GSW leads the league with the most FGA/gm at 85FGA/gm right?

You know C.J. Watson dropped 40pts a month ago right?

You know Anthony Morrow is Top 5 3pt shooter right?

You know almost all of their bigs have missed the majority of the season right?

You know Monta Ellis has missed a considerable amount of games right?

You know they allow 112pts per game to be scored on them right?

You know Curry plays 40min/gm since January right?

You know Nellie has the most coached games this year of playing 7 players or less right?

What are their guards going to do when they have to play with Randolph next yr?

What are their guards going to do when the add another lotto talent to their team?

What are their guards going to do when Brandan Wright comes back?

who needs guys like that when we can pick out gems like Chiekh Samb, Joe Crawford & Anthony Roberson?

I agree Juice. You're right on the money. Golden State plays street ball and makes a lot of their guys look like offensive studs.

We all know Briggs tends to go overboard and breathless hyping up players, especially when it comes to a guy the Knicks either passed up on or should have got. He talks about Curry as if he's THE next superstar.

Id bet a lot of money every team in the NBA knows he will be a star--I mean what the heck is he right now--today? The guys great. There were a bunch of people who thought Curry would sck--one simple answer--wrong.

This isnt addressing the fact that his stats are largely inflated. I agree, he's good but I'd hold off on calling him the next great star.

Don't get me wrong we could have used Chris Hunter instead of waiving him but let's look at GSW for what they are. We could find some talent in the NBDL. Nevertheless I could have went on and on about their squad.

ur probably right that any of those guys would have gotten no run in NY to put up any kind of numbers anyway, but let's be real about it, we've done pretty horrible in finding talent out of the D Leagues... i mean come on, Anthony Morrow & CJ Watson are head & shoulders better than anyone we've picked out of the NBDL regardless of the system GS runs.

Here is Steve's scouting report from 1996
More POOP(Scout: Russ Smith)

Strengths: Nash is the epitome of a gym rat, good shooter, can dribble the
ball and is an excellent passer. Smart and very competitive, knows his
limitations and uses what he has. Improved every year at Santa Clara.

Weaknesses: Not slow but not quick, improving but still a poor defender,
had trouble getting his own shot against quality opponents. Played in
Canada and thus is still adjusting to the level of play in the US.
Sometimes Nash forgets what's a good shot and what's not.

Comments: Another kid you have to like, late first rounder who could move
up, the comparisons to Stockton are skin deep, nowhere near as quick. Has
to improve his defense, played a lot of zone in college which could hurt
him in the NBA.

Funny but I found a video by his brother who I guess is some kind of artist and shows a compilation of how he got from a-z. This is the kind of kid I want on our team. This kid will be much better than some prognostications. I think he is something between a Mark Price and a Steve Nash.

I hope the Knicks see the forest through the trees with this kid. I hope the best for TD and he has shown some nice signs but Jimmer Fredette has the skills to be a great PG in this up tempo style of play. If I didnt think it was possible to acquire the player--I wouldn't say a word but I think we can.

We need to get him a private workout and then he needs to say he is going overseas for 3 years. He will slide to us then. Otherwise, it will be another Stephen Curry shot in the dark (but without all the advertising). If this kid is good, then he will get noticed in workouts just like Curry did... (I would like him, just being real with how this organization has been run.)
