However, his time in Israel was fraught with problems, and he left two months before the end of the season.
“Due to personal matters, Jeremy chose to leave the team on his own will on March 18 and return home to San Diego,” Maccabi Haifa owner Jeffery Rosen said in a statement. “We wish Jeremy all the best.”
In the 10 games Tyler played for Haifa, the 6-foot-11 power forward averaged only 2.1 points and 1.9 rebounds in 7.6 minutes. Tyler, who reportedly earned a $140,000 salary, found it hard to adapt to the pro game and couldn't find a place in Maccabi Haifa's starting lineup.
What a lame example . This kid didn't even finish high school , why would a pro team overseas who trip you up by making you change from american ball to euro ball which isn't the same. Brand Jennings finished highschool and then went overseas to play. Did he put up numbers in euro ball no he didn't, but they taught him how to play a different style of ball that made him grow up and he was paid handsomly and had a car given and an apsrtment rent free....they even volunteered to pay for his college tuition.. He had his mom and his brother live with him overseas too. Brandon was a senior not a junior , he also would have been a tops 4 pick had the NBA had no age limit. Make a legit minor league like baseball and Hockey for those who desire to play professionally and see if they got what it takes, so that no NBA FRANCHISE GETS BURNT.
Then we will all see how great college basketball will be then. NCAA is a sham make money off of kids backs by selling their jersey's and all. LOL Did I use the word plantation ?
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
