The problem with Chaney was his memory-he remembered Mocchie did well in the second quarter for a few minutes and forget out on everything in between

Prediction: Chaney has one week and two practices from Thomas' next (and last trade of the season) to get things looking up or Thomas takes the reins

I agree pratice is very important. That is where players learn each other the most because you can stop and talk things over. In game situation you don't have that luxury.

But I still would have let Marbury play his customary 40 minutes just so he could learn the players tendency in real game time.

Whether you like JVG or not-no one should doubt the man knows something about basketball. In a candid interview on the fan (going on now) he said:

1. The knicks have as good a starting lineup as anyone in the east.

2. I am not even sure that the knicks can't get home court in the playoffs

when responding to mad dog question regarding the first game he made reference to the need for them to work together, that they hadn't had any practice time together

JVG has you fooled man, he is well documented for telling opposing teams, coaches, players etc... good positive remarks before he plays against them. He' is a good coach, but only on one side of the ball. DEFENSE!
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
