If not, then we need the purest of points and I'd rather draft one than get one of the guys mentioned.

if we don't get an uber wing to run the offense this summer, we will need to sign a bonafide starting PG who won't need to be groomed to take over the offense... this team will be in win now mode next year no matter what... we can't phuck around for another year & let it go to waste trying to groom a buncha guys to learn a system after 3 years under the same damn head coach... i wanna see some results next year w/o fail, otherwise both Donnie & MDA need to get the boot.

Boston did it. They had no idea if Rondo would be able to run the team and he was a bit shaky at 1st. They won despite him at 1st but eventually he grew into the job. I do agree tho that if you don't get the creative wing DW would have to go after a PG that is ready to go. This team needs a lead player that can create for himself and others.

net increase of ~$5 million for a talented ball player... let's say you add Joe Johnson and keep David Lee. That team is better than what we got

I wasn't advocating either. You got any bright ideas of how to get someone better than Marcus Williams?

That's one of those new super secure ethernet cords, right? So you're saying that we would be receiving a lot of Tweets from him?

Sounds great!

Must be lazy or a drug problem.

Don't recall him being too quick, either. I would love to have a PG who could also guard his man 1/1.

Steve Nash is not a good defender--would you want him? I would think the Knicks would want a guy who can run the engine of a quick-paced offensive team who has the ability to make plays either with the pass shot or drive. The better the PGs offensive abilities are--the wider the floor spreads and likely the more points will be scored.

Im not advocating Marcus Williams although he is no bust. Im advocating the Knicks get into a scenario where they can bring in Jimmer Fredette. He's big--he's the best shooter in college basketball incredibly smart with great vision and doiesn't turn the ball over. He also runs a version SSOL now. He's not an A athlete but neither were Steve Nash or Mark Price--would anyone take either of those guys as PG? I think we have the assets left--including cap space to be able to pull off getting Jimmer out of the draft--I really do. I hope the Knicks are not completely narrow minded in their thought process because we need help in many areas and two max fA not Named lebron isnt going to get any job done in 2010 and beyond.

Marcus Williams had like 2 goof weeks with the Nets. Dude.. he's been really bad.

Fredette isnt going to be a secret for very long. He's the kind of guy who's going to have a GREAT tourney and end up on everyone's radar. Kinda like Wally Szer did before he got drafted. These college games are won and lost with guard play and he's the kind of heady player who's going to shine.

That being said I hope your right.

OKC has picks 21 and 22.
Memphis has picks 14, 26 and 29.

Mempis has big money decisions to make with Gay's pending extension.

If I am the Knicks, who desperatly need a PG I try my best to buy one of those Memphis picks. After that I try to move up w/ OKC. It might cost you $3mm each transaction but its worth it. He's a good player and he wont be there at pick 37 or whenever we pick

sure, draft a guy with the 2nd rd pick. all those trades to clear room to end up with agent six (still has like 3 years on that contract) and johnson... not sure how much better they would be long term. plus he isnt a pg (acts as one after he gets his 20+ -- when he was healthy), and plays no d.

FO has to have this as last resort option, though i hope they dont want to help out the wizards... they would love this trade.

He's from Glenn Falls for goodness sakes and a Knicks fan. The only way to get this done would be to go to Jimmer and guarantee him to be picked in round 1[I think we can get one and the deal can be completed after FA] and if he falls to round 2 we would guarantee to pay him like the 15th pick in the draft anyway. But he cannot workout or talk to/for anyone else

its definatly possible. I mean the guy could have a bad shooting game in round one and everyone just assumes he would go back for his senior year (the draft sites do).

I think Walsh has a respectable eye for these kinds of guys. He's done a resonable job late in the draft in the past no? I think the Douglas pick is very solid. I know his PT has been retarded and he's not really ready to run a team but he's a good basketball player.

Maybe if you post about him every day Walsh will take notice

After screaming to take Bynum for 4 months we took Channing frye. I don't think they have the intuition for a move like this anyway.
