How about Brendan Malone? He knows the team, and he's close with Isiah. Even if it's not permanent, he'll do just fine on an interim basis IMO. At this point, I trust him more than Chaney.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I agree that Chaney has to go but I think Martin has a point. I think the Knicks are in danger of having too many changes happening at once. They need to settle things down so that these guys can focus on playing basketball and not have to worry about who the coach is going to be tommorow or who their teammates will be.

I feel you. Once we get Chaney outta here and obtain a bona fide low-post scorer, they can settle in and concentrate on basketball without any distractions.

Hopefully this happens soon so the sole focus can be on WINNING.

Just let Malone coach. At least the players won't be too infamiliar with his philosohpy since he's been their assistant forever. The positives of making that move will for sure outweigh the negatives that Chaney brings.

Sorry man, thursday's game against (beetle juice) and the Rockets is a must game.

If we lose that game, how soon should Chaney be fired?

I had to ask since I know how much you luv JVG.

Listen you call him messiah, I call him Zeke. If he wants us to win now, don't you trust his judgement on who coaches the team and when ? He's the new sheriff in town right.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

You didn't answer the question. Damn right I trust his judgement. I asked you when Chaney should be fired if we lose tomorrow...

Never mind, I see that answering a simple question is too much of a challenge for you.

Isiah obviously has to say he has Chaney's back till he finds a replacement for him. IMO its going to be Brendan Malone till the end of the year. They run the same defense and can run the same offense and Zeke always liked Brendan! Have some patience. We weren't going to do better with Eisley, Ward or Dice. Steph is awesome and Penny looked allrite last night as well. the .500 dream might be realized soon.

That makes sense, Guns...

Notice how these Messiah Thomas moves always come after something goes wrong on the court and we lose a game.

Vranes cut, Spoon traded - after the Spree Tirade

Starbury mega-trade - after Kidd closed us out in the Nets game

Chaney fired - after a loss to JVG (our old coach) & the Rockets

Like the pattern??

LOL what's pathetic is your counter point. The pattern is obvious. If we end up losing tonight and Chaney ends up canned, I guess you'll scurry back to your little hole.

Losing Chaney might be the best thing long term. But - it will make it even tougher to do anything this year. I hoping my some miracle the guy gets a clue.

Maybe Brendan Malone already has that clue.

No !!! ZEKE will coach the team for the rest of the season, we make the playoffs & ZEKE can show that Bird made a mistake by beating the Pacers in the first rd !! Then he hires DOC to run the club from training camp on !!!
What does DICK CHANEY & DON CHANEY have in common ?? They both accidentally fell into a job they don't deserve & really suck at doing it !!!! Both need to be fired !!!

Hardcore - good point if we hired Brendon the transition would be a LOT smoother.

Snowman - I don't want zeke to coach. We need him concentrating on being the GM.

Chaney is obvisiously a good guy but he better wise up cos we gotta win immediately if we're making the playoffs. If he doesn't Malone needs to take over immediately.
