I've watched Penny a long time... I craved for him to get traded to the Knicks back in his Orlando days before his injuries... I'm pretty glad we came away with someone who if all works out will be a very key role player off the bench.. Sorta LIke Starks did for us when he got the 6th man award. The first 5 games in a Knick Jersey will not really show us any definiive long term trend.. we have to wait for both him and Marbury to adjust to the new system, new faces, new the new atmosphere.. I say look for this team to break out or pack it in when we play the Rockets again on Jan21st. That game will be a good indicator of things to come. Noway can these guys be judged on 2 games when they've barely been on our roster for 1 week.

Do you guys see what youre saying? Youre saying "Dont worry! He's gonna be a great bench contributor!" And if his contract had the same numbers as that of a bench player, then i would be MORE than happy. But he has fking 15mil! Its ridiculous! Get rid of him for PF that can support Deke and Thomas. Of course I would rather have a PF for that cash... and I agree we should shop around for a possible addition while at the same time trying to dump his contract onto some other team.. but ... My only point was to say.. He is a decent player.. he will improve.. and we are wayyy better off with him rather than eisley... I think we'll be pleasantly suprosed by his production.. perhaps not 15Mil worth os a suprise.. but at least he'll contribute...

Hardaway is a solid 6th man. He's better than Anderson i think that is obvious. I think Hardaway will be a big part of our future success. He's also a good role player for us because he's so versatile. He was a solid addition to go with Marbury and i'd much rather have him then Eisley or Spoon or any of those others with huge contracts.

Complaining about Hardaways contract is off base. You DON'T get Marbury if you don't take Hardaway and his contract. Remember we were already loaded with bad contracts. We got rid of Eisely bad contract and Got Hardaways - the trade wasn't going to happen if we didn't.

That being said Hardaway CAN contribute so forget what he's getting paid. If Marbury helps us - it's a good trade. If Hardaway contributes it's a better trade and I think he will.

not kvh hating, but penny did pick up his slack tonight. every once in a while one of our scorers or two, will have a bad game. we need guys to fly under the radar and pick it up. penny can do that. he's also said that "the knicks were getting a healthy penny, not an ailling penny". plain & simple, he's why we won tonight. oh, and kurt.
