If not for the fortunate trade with his buddy for KG, he didn't really have any plan for success. Even then people had fears that the KG and Allen were a bit too old and would start to breakdown. It was a worthwhile risk tho. My point is that until we see what happens, the jury is still out.

As for developing guys, I think that's a bit hard to say. Gallo and Chan don't suck and they both actually made some strides this year. If you go back to how they looked at the very start of the year. Now the NBA season is long and when there's really no leader and there's turnover, guys aren't going to look as good as they should. They'll play tentative. The more stable our team situation is the better both Gallo N Chan will look. I guarantee that if they're playing with Lebron they'd all of a sudden look a lot better!!!

The only difference is Ainge has Boston's draft picks and a young PF and other prospects to give up to get Garnett and Allen. We have no high draft picks, we gave up our young PF to clear cap space, and outside of Chandler and Gallo, we really have no established young prospects. We might be able to do a sign and trade with Lee to get Bosh, but we could have signed Bosh anyway. The bottomline is that when the Celtics added Garnett and Allen, they already had an establish top-10 player in Pierce, a solid young center, and they drafted a starting PG. We have none of that.

Trust the Process
