For example, one of my fraternity brothers and I used to watch our boys hit on girls and scream "a SPECTACULAR move" from across the bar or "YES!" ("and it counts!") or YESS!!!" And if we witnessed a walk of shame, you definitely heard "OH--A FACIAL" or "you know she'd like to have that one back" if our our buddy was in listening distance The only clip of Marv's "YES" I could find on Youtube. When Marv first got in trouble for his bedroom affairs, the thought was he was done and would never be allowed to work in this town again. With all the bad press the Knicks still brought back Marv. Not to mention Marv wanted more money so Dolan did not renew his contract. After that Marv ran to the media to state how bad he was treated by the Knicks organization. If Dolan did not give Marv a second chance Marv would probably not have a job now. This is not true. NBC who still had control of the NBA put out a statement that under no circumstances would they reinstate Marv. He was considered a pariah by nearly every sports writer and national publication. David Stern was not amused at the situation either. When Dolan first floated the idea of hiring Marv in a capacity of just being an on air personality on MSG, the announcement was met with protesters outside of Plenn Plaza from groups such as NOW and Evangelical Christian groups (I witness some of these protest myself). Dolan went ahead with the idea and gave him his own show the MSG Sportsdesk. The daily protest went on for sometime. After about a couple of months when the hoopla died down, Dolan moved him back to doing Knick games. After doing Knick games, it was only then that NBC decided to bring it back and they credited Dolan and for personally vouching for his character. He didn't get on TNT until NBC lost the coverage rights. I don't like Dolan but I could care for Marv even less. Marv would never do what Dolan did for him. He has thrown countless guys under the bus to preserve himself. The funny thing is that most of the sport writers that are crying about Marv not being at the ceremony was killing Dolan for giving Marv another chance 10 years ago. You can't make that stuff up. I know what I was hearing from the rug wearer on Yes...his constant detailing of everything he feels is wrong with MSG and the Knicks while covering other teams and games. Whats not to know. Everything I said is factual and can be backed up the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between.
