Note the gesture...it has a meaning in America "hook 'em horns" and in Italy- "your wife is sleeping with other men"

I don't agree that anyone should be allowed to act like an ass but I realize that when you're considered a winner or are playing in a winning situation things get overlooked that don't get overlooked on losing situations. I never said that HOuse himself was a winner or the reason his teams won. But he was a part of teams that won.

Plus the fact that some guys get labelled and it sticks, like Nate. He will have to live his rep down. House hasn't gotten near the same flack for trash talk or celebrations and to be honest Nate is far more egregious in how he carries on.

Just remember the things Nate has done in the past that really got under the skin of management. Remember the Denver fight and how Nate acted? I could go on and on and find similar events that marked Nate. By comparison House hasn't had near the same stigma attached to him.

Stop playing devil's advocate for minute. D'Antoni should be smarter than that. D'Antoni knows both of these guys. Eddie House is a well known ass by the way, and he is pretty egregious, you just haven't had the displeasure of watching him on the regular yet.

You remember farther back than most of us when it comes to the Knicks. The other night during the celebration, Clyde said the best thing about Red Holzman is that he had one set of rules for every player, from the star to the last guy on the bench.

I too have the same philosophy: Treat all your men with equal fairness.

That would be nice. Not all coaches feel the same way tho. I think it's SO easy to pick apart a coach when the team sucks and everything is all crazy. LB has been there, Doc Rivers has been there, heck even Riley has been there. Now D'Antoni is getting a taste of what its like to coach in a bad situation and have everyone pick your every move apart. Remember what people were saying about Doc before the Celtics added the big 3? Boston Fans thought he was a joke and wanted him gone.

House is a better pure shooter, but House, far too often rushes his shots at the slightest hint of day light as if he'll never get an open look again.

I don't even think House is a better "pure" shooter than Nate. He may have some higher percentages because so many of his looks were wide open from Pierce and KG double teams. However, if he's going to be a guy who's just going to look for jacking up shots, then I have news for you...

Either way, Nate is just better.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

It's not just D'antoni. Paul Westphal also... Maybe coaches who get the label of "offensive genius" all act this way.

---
Kings center Spencer Hawes was inactive for the team's game against the Pistons on Tuesday night.

"I saw where he's having a hard time understanding his role," said Sacramento coach Paul Westphal. "He should understand it (after) tonight."

Westphal didn't give a specific reason for the benching, but Hawes has been vocal about his up-and-down minutes and changing roles.

Earlier this week, Hawes said this of Westphal's substitution patterns:

"All year we've kind of been dealing with that," he said. "When you think you have kind of gotten over that hump, it comes back up again. That's the philosophy, so you've just got to deal with it.

"Everyone up and down the roster has had a taste of that, so everyone can relate. I think it's kind of tough, the not-knowing part on a game-to-game basis, to get in that rhythm. But that's the way it's going and there's not a whole lot you can do about it."

Paul Westphal is going through same thing in Sac. Doc Rivers got run out Orl. Pippen wouldnt take the court for Phil Jackson.

Players are primadonnas and coaches are ego maniacs. Karl said a coach has the same impact as a starting player.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Why do we care about this again?

Didn't Al do something like that tonight?

yeah, he did.. I was kinda waiting for a reaction, but none came whatsoever. Guess pringles was in a good mood maybe?

Al did it but it was during a stopage in play.

Nate actually shot at the Net's basket right before the clock expired at the end of the 1st quarter (aka, during the actual game). It was one of the most idiotic things I've ever seen...
