Which is a legit point...That I understand...TMac however is one of those guys who likes the ball in his hands...The young kids aren't going to learn watching him...They too need shots to gain confidence...It's not all about Gallo, but he took 6 shots last night, one in the first half...Shot attempts won't get better with a guy who is in the last year of his contract and has something to prove...True, its one game...The coach made last night about McGrady...It's got to be about the guys who are going to be here going forward...

Knicks fans going crazy for T-Mac just shows LeBron, Wade, and Bosh how much love they would receive if they come to NY this summer.

If T-Mac continues to perform the way he did last night and we continue to adore him, what exactly is wrong with that? I love Gallo and Wilson but the ultimate goal here is to bring in 1 or 2 top notch stars.

"This is a very cautious situation that we're in. You have to be conservative in terms of using your assets and using them wisely. We're building for the future." - Zeke (I guess not protecting a first round pick is being conservative)

They all know about NY and it's fans...They are also afraid of the pressure and the scrutiny that comes along with playing in NY...It's a two edged sword...

I completely disagree. Assuming TMac doesn't factor into the team's longterm plans, you don't think the elite UFAs are watching Sports Center? You don't think they'll ask Tracy McGrady what it is like to play at MSG with the crowd chanting "WE WANT TRAY CY!!"?

This is primetime marketing.

Not to mention McGrady could factor into the team's plans. And, McGrady has a superstar's confidence. If you do not think the young guys will learn from this, I don't know what to say

like I said b4...It's a two edged sword...Pressure and scrutiny comes with that...They also saw what we did with Patrick...They are in the biz, they all know very well what comes with NY...Patrick worked hard for all the years he was here, dedication and sweat...His exit was summed up with good riddance...U think players don't know that...U think somehow they missed that...

How long ago was that? It's completely different recalling nostalgic childhood memories than it is to experience that, or receive professional feedback, when you are actually a part of the league.

Somehow u guys think their agents and handlers missed it...This is a biz...All these things will be pointed out to them along with all options...None of these guys will be making a naive decision...It's not like they are posting in a forum...This is a lifelong decision that involves millions...Come on guys...

All agents and "handlers" are worried about is getting their cut of a stars salaries. You think that the agents for Lebron,Wade, bosh etc... are thelling their clients" Stay away from NY because they dont care or handle their players right at the end of their careers?" Agents and stars are after the MONEY and know this is all a business. Come on hol wake up and admit your wrong!!

It's not a matter of being wrong..All I'm pointing of is that these players will be making an informed decision...They will know along with the good comes the bad and money may just be the same no matter where u go...

Whats up with you people, with Tmac and SRod, the offense was really flowing last night and this is only after one day of practicing with each other. Gallo will start to get much more open looks because of this just give it some time. You guys are bringing up how the Rockets got rid of Tmac for this very reason, guess what? we aint the Houston Rockets and before yesterday Duhon ,Nate, and Hughes were given the responsibilties of dishing out the ball. Yea the offense will go through him, so what, its better than Dudu.

We are complaining about the offense, while we scored 120 points last night, its our defense especially the interior thats the problem. I feel bad for Lee, he was the only guy down there. We gotta get Bosh here this summer.

I really don't understand the exuberance by fans about McGrady...He isn't part of our future...He was rental for cap space, nothing more...He is taking the ball out of the youngings hands right now...If we get 2 max free agents he is gone...If we don't get 2 max, he's gone...no way I'm offering him a contract given his history and age...He is playing in an older man's body...Will he be willing to take the MLE???..

Gallo had 1 shot attempt in the first half...It's not going to get better...U guys think Harrington like the ball in his hands, wait until McGrady gets comfortable here...How on god's green earth can Douglas not get some PT...The season is over, play the guys that will be here next year...What is the problem????

Dude, I think you and I were watching a different game from a lot of guys.

I saw McGrady holding the ball and making some nice plays but there was no flow when the offense went through him. Guys were bitching about Harrington stealing Gallinari's shots ain't seen nothing yet!

Chandler's whole game was taken away by McGrady's presence...it was obvious. The team spent a lot of time just watching him...no doubt McGrady is a special talent, but even when he was the real deal this was a problem.

The Knicks are not better this year, and if they don't hit at least a triple in the off-season, Houston is going to get 2 nice picks from the Knicks and shed Jared Jeffries' contract next season to boot. The Rockets know what true flexibility is. The Knicks have to hit it big this offseason or their flexibility is gone: No players to deal, no draft picks to deal, and their money locked up in Joe Johnson or someone like that.

oohah

I have no love for McGrady, but were you guys expecting the offense to flow the first time half the new guys are on the floor? Seriously!

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Ok hol so everything we do is gonna be bad and the rest of the other teams are doing things right?? Hol you should put next to your name Hater because thats what you are with this franchise. Go be a fan at a franchise that YOU think is better than us and make a fool of yourself there. Meanwhile, other posters were you happy with the way things went last, other than the loss??

Speaking of holding the ball, wait until Lebron puts on a Knicks Uni and holds the ball for 20 of the 24 second shot clock. Will you complain then? Guys like Lebron, Wade, Nash, Paul, Durant, Melo, etc, all hold the ball. Yet, guys like Mo Williams, Beasley, Stoudemire, West, Green, JR Smith still get thiers. At some point, Gallo has to stop being so passsive.

Gallo got 6 shots, yet Eddie House come off the bench an get 14 shots? Chandler still got up 16, Lee put up his normal attempts, etc. At some point you have to put on the player.
