You know what nyk, truth be told I was much higher on this guy early on when he was with Portland, but I still think he's a better player than Duhon. He just hasn't really done much to distinguish himself in the league so far you know? Eny's right though...It's a big opportunity for him now. He better be up for the challenge because his young career really is kinda at the crossroads right now -- is he content to be a career backup or can he up his play substantially now and seize the opportunity in NY. Our PG situation really is wide open right now...Hey, the way I look at this is that we just got a nice creative 24-year-old playmaker included in this deal that wasn't on the table yesterday. Let's see what happens. Evaluation time now with Sergio...

Look at this optimistically:

We now can sign two max free agents, obviously.

If T-Mac can get back to 75% of what he once was, we have a legit All-Star. Shyt, he's had enough rest LOL.

If S-Rod is who ya'll have been saying he is for the past three years around here, then we've finally got a point guard.

Despicable. Donnie was either forced by Dolan or is getting too old. Houston screw the Knicks up big time. If Lebron does not sign here on July 1st, this the worst trade in the history of the franchise NBA alongside the Marbury and Curry trades.

wow, 2011 is top 1 protected, 2012 is top 5 protected. Top 1? haha wow never heard of anything like that. This deal is really high risk with possible high rewards or the exact opposite.

Well I don't know what people were expecting. I didn't even know you could protect a pick on a swap so who cares? We knew about the swap. As long as 2012 was protected nicely.

This is eddy curry all over again--NY continues to deal from weakness--there is risk/reward and there is stupidity of throwing bad money[or idea] after bad money. We have just lost our draft for 2006 2010 2011 2012--it will come to light this year and when we sck the following two years and Jordan Hill becomes a solid player--we will cry.

Did this trad bring us 1% closer to Lebron---NO.

And since we got T mac and S rod--the young players we picked up Walker Giddens and our TD---sitting my man.

Man, we really made this deal fellas. Wow, it just hasn't even hit me yet... We gave up a lot, but in the end of the day, with what we're trying to accomplish in the off-season, I guess it was the right thing to do. A big FA like LeBron will now have his choice of another max player to come join him here. That really is huge... Our chances of trying to land the King just went up now.

Walsh better come through THIS OFFSEASON. Giving the our 2 draft round picks and the rights to switch 2011 picks sound like Isiah is still at the wheel.

And when I say come through, I mean if we end up with Bosch, he better be the 2nd tier fa after we get Wade, or Lb.

Considering what we gave up in picks, its either LB, Wade or Bust.

Amare, Bosch & Joe Johnson are not sufficient consolidation prizes.

Eddy Curry was signed to a cap crippling deal that meant when we stunk we had no flexibility to fix it.

This is nothing like that at all.
