tmac may stil wInd up on the knicks, as has been reported elsewhere
There is nothing incomplete or false in my info. Jamison IS a Cav. Amare isn't. There is talk about trying to get the Knicks TMac but if you completely read the article, it said that the Kings and Rockets have a deal in place in case the Knicks fall through. I haven't posted rumor. I posted my opinion.
Make sure your own posts are perfectly 100% supportable before you start knocking those you don't deem supportable enough.
sorry, you're just wrong, my friend. the title of the post is and what you wrote reads:
So now that the givens have been annihilated...
-No TMac to NY
I dunno how more false this can be since nothing has been officially announced, and if they are still discussing tmac to ny, how on earth does that 'annhilate" these so-called "givens" which aren't even givens, or even close to guaranteed to happen, because all the notions you listed were never givens in the first place?
you yourself just wrote that tmac is not coming to ny, when not one single one of us can confirm this statement with any kind of validity...
so, in the end, these are not facts, nor givens...
end of story.
peace.
There is a plan in place to trade him to the Kings. TMac to NY is far from a certainty and at this point one team has a deal in place to acquire him and it is not the Knicks. You can't prove me wrong with the same reasoning you say I can't prove you wrong. But fact remains the Knicks do not have a deal in place to acquire him and another team does.
There are plenty of other threads to argue semantics. If you like start a thread in the off topic.
okay, but i wasn't arguing that tmac to ny was a certainty, but saying that:
No TMac to NY
is not a statement based in fact, just yet, although it might become true by the end of today, sure.
and that i am not clear at all at how the other things you posted were "givens" since we are talking about speculation, yet even more the case with jamison to cleveland, which was not a big rumor like tmac to the knicks or amare to cleveland.
You can't prove me wrong with the same reasoning you say I can't prove you wrong.
honestly, i don't understand what you are trying to argue here. i am not saying tmac to ny is going to happen, i'm saying with no kind of certainty can any of us say he is NOT going to be on the knicks by the end of today, which is what i was saying is wrong with your statement. i don't need to prove you wrong, just to point to the facts. your statements and the reality of the current situation do not fit together, that's all.
this isn't about semantics, it's about how you made strong statements, and a thread title, that are both blatantly not backed by evidence.
Pres, exactly how late were you to this trade deadline thing? Amare to Cleveland was supposed to happen for a lot of reason that came out over the past 3 days or so. McGrady was supposed to be traded to the Knicks. And he gets traded to the Kings. There is speculation he may get to NY for the same package that was offered to Houston with another player coming here, but he is Kings property.
No one else seems to have a problem with the title or anything else in this thread. If it causes you so much grief you have to type dissertations in the emotional distress it is causing you why are you posting in it?
joe, simply because no one else has written that they have a problem with making ubbacked statements as fact, does not mean i am wrong, nor that others are not thinking this, nor that one should remain silent. you put it in the public forum.
i'm not having a nervous breakdown, sorry. all i'm asking for are some basic standards of honesty in what people write. how is that wrong?
secondly, i'd appreciate it if you not assume that i don't know about the amare RUMORS to cleveland, which we can also chalk up as a false statement.
since when do rumors = "done deal?"
i mean, this kind of stuff happens ALL OF THE TIME in rumors about trades.
the beef i have is with posting speculation without support as fact, which involves asking for a little integrity in what folks post. if that's wrong, then i dunno how anyone who sees this as a problem can criticize other writers like berman and isola for their writing.
btw, and now we have multiple reports stating walsh agreed to a deal to send TMAC to the knicks...
"No TMAC to the Knicks"...

peace-ahhhh!...
