I believe this was done calculated by Morey to strong arm our GM. I believe he knew he had this as an ace in the hole, the whole time and was using the Bulls to drive the price up on our end. He got him to bite and very close to conclusion of deadline pulled this power move to still get what he wants, or if for nothing else.... more.

When a team is over the cap they aren't paying Jefferies 14 million for next year.

When a team is dumping salary they aren't taking on Jefferies 7 million for next year.

It's over man they dont want Hill or the picks. They can now slide Ariza to SF where he belongs.

Yeah they do.

Houston's actually one of the more profitable franchises in the league so absorbing Jeffries salary in order to grab assets works for them. Besides, they probably feel they can flip Jeffries next year once his deal becomes an expiring.

If this was a done deal, why are the Kings and Rockets playing so coy? They are obviously waiting on the old man to rise from his slumber.

ESPN keeping NY involved for hits on their page. Adrian is the only guy I trust now and he says Knick deal is dead.

I dont care how rich Houston is they aren't paying the lux tax for Jared Jefferies. They just took on 10 million in salary man. Morey found Landry in the 2nd round. Do you think Hill is currently better than Landry? Next year they will be in the playoff hunt and Hill will be collecting splinters.
