Compared to the guys coming back in the trade he is. I understand trading him, but we are giving away the better talent with nothing to show for it.

We can use the 2 MAX contracts we can offer to sign Nate and re-sign David Lee.

Eric Goodwin, one of Robinson’s agents, said in an e-mail message that the trade “validates that teams value him.”

“Great opportunity for him to be on a contender, to learn the game from a championship coach with a proven history of patience with talented young players,” Goodwin wrote.

He summarized the problem in one sentence and this time he can't be fined for it.

The Knicks and the Celtics had agreed to the framework of a deal. The Knicks will receive a package, including Eddie House and perhaps J. R. Giddens. Salary-cap complications may force the Knicks to add another low-salaried player, like Marcus Landry, to make the deal work.

Eh, to me, that bolded part signifies that they have the players involved pretty much worked out, but just need to negotiate on picks or any cash considerations to make the trade equitable.

D'Antoni's handling of the Knicks vets could come back to haunt the franchise. He has angered influential agents and players. I know he was a well liked assistant on Team USA but his actions since then towards peers of those guys might make a difference in the free agent process.

It shouldn't have gone down this way.

If Kevin Garnett and the rest of the Big 3 are healthy, I think Nate Robinson makes them the favorite in the East. Cleveland and Orlando do not have that type of scorer off their bench. Atlanta has Jamal Crawford but I don't consider them contenders.

Pretty damned decent numbers if you ask me. 43% from the field from a 5'7" guard is pretty darn efficient.
