It meets that criteria dead on.

I'm gunna have to say the trade checker is wrong on this one.

Nate is worth 2M in trade scenarios. You don't see players on the Celtics that meet that burden? I do.

I wouldn't rely on the trade checker on this one.

BYC restrictions. They are complicated. When I mess around with BYC players it is hit or miss. You got to remember unless it is a dead on salary, the smaller you get-salary wise-the less margin of error in the 125% leeway.

I have even seen ESPN trade Machine approve stuff Tradechecker correctly wouldn't allow.

If we cant get a pick, we at least need to get back a prospect like Giddens or Bill Walker. If not, whats the point?

exactly... Nate's so much better than any of those guys it's not even funny... w/o at least a young asset we can use or a future pick, or even some cap relief, this trade does absolutely nothing to help our franchise... it's just to get rid of a thorn in MDA's side... if this trade is made then we really know who's in charge of this team's roster moves.

Nate for House, Allen & Scalabrine doesn't work on the trade checker. Nothing works except......a deal which is too good to be true.

Nate + Jeffries for House, Allen & Scalabrine. This works on trade checker. It also works if we added Marcus Landry. Also, we can throw in some money for Jeffries.
Boston gets 2 players who can help them this year and they get rid of lesser quality players. And we won't ask them for a draft pick for Nate.

If the Knicks get nothing but expiring for Nate this is ridiculous. Walsh needs to stop protecting D'Antoni. Nate is too talented and too much of a fan favorite to throw away because the coach can't communicate with him. I hope Harrington at least brings something back when Walsh moves him out for big D.

According to a league source, the Knicks and their Atlantic Division rival are working on a deal that would send Robinson, the back-up guard and three-time Slam Dunk champion, to Boston. Since Robinson is entering the last year of his contract the Knicks will only take back expiring contracts.

Eddie House, who played for Mike D'Antoni in Phoenix, has an expiring contract as does Tony Allen and Brian Scalabrine.

The Knicks have been trying to trade Robinson since December when D'Antoni benched the energetic yet erratic guard for 14 games. The Knicks were in talks with the Memphis Grizzlies but the deal never progressed once Robinson informed the club that he wouldn't approve a trade to Memphis.

Robinson has veto power but according to a source close to the situation Robinson would gladly accept a trade to Boston.

Robinson did not accompany the Knicks to Chicago. According to the club, he is home with the flu.

I will take tony allen and a pick from the celtics...

Nates walking in 30 games. Whats the big deal?

Larry, isiah and MDA can't get in this kids head.

We talking nate here. His celeberty and talent is obvious, but playing him is pointless. We don't win with him either, so if it opens it up for TD to finally get some run. In a way the knicks help him rather than just bury him on the bench.

He walks we get nothing. Maybe Boston is the third team to get us another deal.

Nates had three coaches. He drives them all nuts. He will be in good company with KG.

That trade is trash even with a late pick from the Celtics. Eddie House is a bum. The Celtics have one of the best records in the league. I don't think the Knicks will be able to draft anything special with a late first round pick. Let alone any rookie that will get playing time. This trade is a waste of time.

Nate Robinson is a waste of time. The idea is to ship him out of town because he and the coach have had it. And quite frankly I'm tired of his game which disrupts any real offensive flow.

Donnie, rather than cut players or wait for them to expire, like to swap them for equal contracts or shorter contracts. No problem with that.

If we score this offseason who would you rather re-sign? Eddie House cheaply to be a great spot up shooter? Or Nate Robinson to go 1-1 and jack shots up and disrupt the team?

We're not resigning either Nate Robinson or Eddie House so it doesn't really matter.

no problem with this deal if we pick up a 1st rounder as well and if that's a 2012 1st rounder it could be a good selection with the age the celtics have in the big3.

Question - if we acquire a future 1st, does that immediately count against the cap for 2010-2011?

Depends on the year of the pick it doesn't have to be next year.

Yes it would have a cap hold equal to the pick's position which because of the C's record would be in the 20s and therefore comparative to say Toney Douglas.
