yea. i think that's going overboard. we're sitting here railing on our team and yet we're giving a 4 win team the benefit of the doubt by saying they'd be a 6th seed with one draft pick? no. that won't happen.

However Wallace was hand delievered to them because no teams wanted to trade with Isiah. The Nets were up 3-2 and closing it out in NJ but Kidd got hurt and they went on to win there title. Shaq got injured the year after in the playoffs. Condition obviously plays a factor.

Dumars has been one of the worst GMs in the league the past 3 years. The Billups trade, Hamilton's extension, not trading Wallace, CV and Gordon in offseason, Kwame Brown, Amir Johnson. And the Darko selection can't be overlooked. That was the worst draft selection maybe of all time, because injury had nothing to do with him not panning out. He also let Okur go for nothing.

man the pistons championship only came because Kobe and Shaq were at war and their feud destroyed team chemistry and gave Detroit that 1 in a gazillion shot at beating LA. A year earlier or later and it never would have happened. Hell, you see that lightning never really struck close to Detroit again.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

no way man - the handled the lakers that series. cant sit there and say it was b/c kobe and shaq were fighting. kobe and shaq were fighting every year they played together in LA and still managed to get championships. detroit just outplayed them and brown outcoached phil.
