Congrats to DLee for taking his game to the next level...well deserved...However, does it not concern anyone that DLee is playing out of his mind, Will Chan is having a much better than expected year..Gallo has stepped up better than we thought...Jeffries is finally doing the things he was brought here to do...We still on pace to win 30-35 games??..No alarm bells???

The Knicks have less talent than almost every other team in the league. Try naming teams where DLee or Gallo/Wil is better than their best player...

We are paying $40 M to Hughes, Curry, Mobley and Darko.

30 wins sounds about right to me. We are not the Rockets.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

I was going to throw in the Bucks myself. No Redd. According to a lot of people Jennings isn't anything and D Lee is better than Bogut.

Wow, seriously? We can't even be happy that a Knick is finally back in the all-star game? A stat padder?

If you don't think Lee is a deserving all-star, then you did not watch most of the Knick games to this point. Having seen David play live over a dozen times this season, I think he has clearly elevated his game to all-star status.

The guy is one of the most efficient and consistent players in the league. His jumper has taken his game to a higher level and if you can't see that, then you don't know very much about basketball.

I think Horford over Lee was fine before anyone accuses me of overrating Lee.

I think it's more about King having Florida connections. Not sure if he is friends with one of the guys on the Florida teams or if he just went there. Either way, he is friends with DLee.

props to david lee, DESERVING all-star. lousy on defense yes, but terrific rebounder, team player, incredibly efficient and innovative scorer around the hoop, ever-improving passer and outside shooter.

glad for the kid - he's playing in a game he belongs in.

PS: Lee deserves it, regardless of the defense. Yes he needs to improve, but he's still playing like an all star.

Holfresh, I am not worried about Lee in particular b/c he has shown improvement in some area of the game every year. How much will he improve after this season? I don't know. But I like his game a lot this season. Again, he definitely needs to improve it.

And he was way more deserving than Iverson anyway!

Which is why those teams are a giant surprise. If Houston and Sactown sucked this season would it have shocked you? No. So why is it shocking that the Knicks suck? They're supposed to suck this season.

I will agree that Houston in general is just a better run franchise has been and I think Morey is a fresh breath of air in this league. Sacramento kinda lucked out with Tyreke Evans being ridiculously good in his first season and Omri Casspi also playing really solid.

Sacramento is 18-34
NYK 19-35

Houston you have a point. Sactown maybe not so much but at least they have Tyreke Evans cheap for the remainder of his rookie contract.

You are right in saying that we thought the Knicks would suck this year...That was b4 4 players stepped up...4 players...

Don't get me wrong I think Lee should be an all-star over the likes of KG and Iverson. I think Lee and Smith both belong there. But let me say that I feel that Smith is more deserving though. D Lee is 27 and if he hasn't taken a liking to defense at this point of his career it is hard to imagine that he will be coming in locking down the post and swatting shots that he is more than capable of doing based on his athletic ability.

*Can't believe a player who is that bad defensively is an NBA All-Star!

Why? It's the one game of the year where absolutely NOBODY has to play any D. Perfect for David.

lee is ballllinnnn...of which nobody can deny.

my only question is what is the judging process coach's use to select players?

its clear josh smith is having a monster season and making a huge impact on games yet he's left off. is it b/c they don't want 3 hawks (although he's more deserving than horford)?

and what about bogut. another guy putting up serious numbers on both sides of the court and in the thick of the playoff hunt but left off too. not even getting any mentions anywhere.

lee deserves it because of his play and the strides he made...but they need to expand the rosters because I think you can make a better case for the other guys.

the cynic in me wonders whether the league thought about the fact that a Knicks player in the all-star game would help ratings.
